RETIREMENT HOUSING
This project intends to understand the need of privacy, communal spaces, efciency of open spaces and Ideas of extended living areas, to differentiate and understand the nature of organic and planned communities.
The CLINIC, within the township for health and wellness of the residents at their convinience.
The CLUSTERS are interconnected with pathways for walking and cycling. Each cluster has a connectivity to the lake, creating hierarchy of common spaces.

The clusters have been designed, using different congurations to create an identity and depending on the prole of the site. The experience through a multitude of open spaces, of similar proportions, is dynamically different with a change in circulation pattern.
THE CLUB, located centrally, uses the levels to its advantage. It has a gymnasium, a multi purpose space, restaurant/dining, parking in lower level.
OAT: The natural gradient of the site was used to create clusters at different levels that were connected by ramps, wherever possible and steps.
Clusters & the Lake: creating hierarchy of open spaces. The landscape forms are intentionally organic, to break the linear and rectilinear proportions of the homes, and clusters. Ramps are preferred over steps, to be accessible to the differently-abled, as well as encourage cycling.

The ne balance between needing to design or privacy and encourage interaction has been a challenge. Orienting the public spaces of the home, like the living room and terrace towards the more public front, and the bedrooms and private spaces to the rear, has been done. Creating multiple verandahs, which allow for choices of views.

THESIS: SAMANAYANA
SEM 09 THESIS Site Location: Nagpur, Maharashtra Site area: 9.8acre This architectural intervention intends to create a unique typology of architecture that facilitates an integrated space for various stakeholders for rapid response during disasters which creates awareness in the community.
