Trunk or Treat

It’s time for ghouls and vampires to come out to play, knights and superheroes to gear up, princesses and fairies to put on their best shoes- it’s time for Trunk or Treat!

Join us for an evening of safe trick-or-treating at the MPCC parking lot. Decorated vehicles will line up and hand out treats to all the spooky creatures attending.

We’re looking for businesses and individuals who are interested in decorating their vehicle and passing out candy/treats to attendees! If interested please contact Kaitlyn Collier at K.Collier@ manassasparkva.gov.

Bonfire Bash in the Park

Fall nights are s’more fun with a bonfire! Join us at our bonfire bash to pick out a pumpkin, roast a s’more, play games, take a hayride around the park, and more! There is something for the entire family to enjoy.

Pre-registration is required per family member. Extra s’more kits are available on a first come first serve basis $8 per person

2023-2024 Biddy Ball

(Ages 4-5) The City of Manassas Park, Department of Parks and Recreation is proud to bring another season of basketball back to the community! Our league is co-ed, and we focus on skill development Fundamentals. In this age group, teams practice and play games on Fridays. Practices will begin December 8th and games will begin January 5th. Registrations will be accepted until December 3rd.

$48/AAM; $70/M; $75/R; $80/NR

2023-2024 Manassas Park Youth Basketball League

(Ages 6-12) In this league, teams will practice once a week and play games mostly on Saturdays. Games may be played at Manassas Park Middle school. Division placement is determined by age on January 1st, 2024. Dates are subject to change: Space is Limited.

The skills evaluation will be Saturday, November 18th. Teams will be formed via draft. Practices will begin the week of December 11th. Games will begin January 6th. Playoffs and the All-star game will be played in March.

$66/AAM; $110/M; $120/R; $125/NR

MPYBL Fees: If selected to an MPYBL Elite travel team, the cost for the winter 2023-24 FCYBL travel season will be $275 per player. This fee covers the FCYBL registration fees, uniform fees, and includes two practices/week from November – March, 13 total games and any additional administrative fees.

Payment will be required before the player can participate in a practice or a game. This fee is strictly for the MPYBL EliteTravel team and not the MPYBL house league.

2023-2024 Manassas Park Youth Basketball League

The MPYBL Elite travel teams will compete in the Fairfax County Youth Basketball League. The FCYBL is designed for skilled players, serious about developing their game and seeking a higher level of competition. The MPYBL will place teams in the FCYBL and can be in any of the following grades- boy’s 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th grade. We will also look to place a girls’ team in any of the following grades - 5th, 6th, 7th, or the 8th grade division.

Try-outs

MPYBL will be hosting try-outs for our travel teams TBD. You must register to participate in the try-out. Any athlete that is not selected for the MPYBL travel team will still be eligible to participate in the MPYBL winter house League.

Player Eligibility

The travel teams are grade-based. This means anyone in the designated grade can participate if they are not more than 2 years older than others in that grade as of September 1st of that year. All players will be expected to provide documentation of their current grade (report card) along with proof of address once selected to a team.

MPCC Adult Fall Open Basketball League

(Ages 18+) Does your team have what it takes to hold up the championship trophy at the end of the season? If so, get your squad together and be a part of the 2023 Fall Open Basketball season! Each team will play a guaranteed eight games. Games will be played once or twice per week, pending team availability.

Teams must pay registration fee before the first scheduled game! $550 per team.
