All classes (except swim lessons) are included FREE of charge with the Senior Passport. Our Senior Passport Program is for individuals 60 years of age and older. Membership is $20 per month for non-residents of Manassas Park and $10 per month for residents. Membership includes all the benefits of our Basic Membership, as well as access to all senior programs (excluding swim lessons) at no additional charge. Enjoy our potlucks, socials, the wellness area, pool, and more! Non-members may enroll in any of these classes individually by paying the $2.00 daily drop-in rate. *Times, dates, and activities are subject to change. Please be sure to check out our Senior Board located behind the Front Desk for senior happenings and news. We are seeking Senior Volunteers to teach our senior classes! Aquasize Take a step into the pool to keep up your muscle tone and get the low impact, full-body exercise you’ve been looking for. Aqua Zumba This class provides a relaxing workout in the pool following a rhythmic routine.

Beginning Watercolor for Seniors Join us for a relaxing and fun beginner watercolor class! No art experience is necessary to participate. We will paint landscapes, seascapes, still life, and more. 3/2-3/16, 4/6-4/20, 5/4-5/18

*Bored-um Busters Game Time Do you enjoy classic board games like Parcheesi, chess, and checkers? Join us for a good challenge filled with laughs and hot topics among friends.

*Card Shark Bring a friend and revisit some classic card games like Rummy, UNO, and Spoons. Use those solitaire skills you’ve been practicing on your phone and partner up for double solitaire.

Coffee Klatch Potluck Join us for our bi-monthly potluck gettogether! You’ll find great food, fellowship, and an occasional guest speaker or themed social. April/June

Color n’ Coffee Reap the benefits of expressing yourself, all while socializing. Join us for coffee and adult coloring.

Computer Help Desk Do you wish to learn how to use a computer or how to work a particular program on a laptop? Perhaps you’re just trying to figure out how to send an e-mail? We have partnered with Storage Strategies, Inc. (SSI) for instruction on computer help for beginners and beyond.

Functional Fitness Flow This class uses the resistance of water to challenge your muscles while allowing the buoyancy to ease the strain on the joints. The goal of this class is to increase your muscle strength, balance, flexibility, and range of motion.

Pickleball This sport is described as a combination of tennis and badminton. It is also a fun and great way to get exercise. This is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country and has gained much popularity at the Community Center.

Plarning Plarn is plastic bag yarn! Come together with friends to crochet shower mats, hats, bags, and more. You do not need to know how to crochet. You can come and help cut and roll bags all while socializing with the group.

*Puzzle Mania Keep those critical thinking skills honed and collaborate on a group puzzle, Sudoku, or crosswords.

Restorative Aquafit KThis poolexercise class puts the needs of participants into action by offering low-impact exercises that anyone can handle. Our heated indoor pool will help relax achy muscles and joints to put a spring to your step. *program is self-facilitated

*Scrabble Club Let Scrabble test your vocabulary and exercise your brain.

Senior Socials One of the longest running programs in Manassas Park! If you are excited to meet with new and old friends and talk about the day’s events or if you want to work on a project that encourages your creative touch, then this social group is perfect for you. See the Senior Board for activities schedule. Senior Strength and Stretch A Community Center favorite among seniors! This class is geared for individuals of all shapes, sizes, and mobility levels. You’ll be able to get a great challenging workout that is low impact enough to meet your needs. Senior Yoga Flexibility and strengthening your core are keys to this class that is specifically for seniors. The class can be adapted for individuals that have limited mobility. SIT Fit SIT Fit is a low impact aerobics and strength training class for anyone needing the stability of a chair. This class is performed seated or standing behind a chair for stability. *Social Knitting/Crocheting Bring a project or start a new one with us for a relaxing morning of knitting, crocheting, and socializing. Share ideas and create items such as dishcloths, baby Afghans, and unity scarves. Walking Club Calling all walkers! As we walk and talk, you will be hitting your stride and realizing the heart benefits of a 1,000 steps. Bring comfortable walking shoes, a water bottle, and your favorite ball cap! In the event of rain, our activity will be indoors.
