Your Chamber: The Voice For Business

One of the most important ways that we serve and support your members is to be your voice in front of government entities. All too often, when our local, state, and federal elected representatives and government officials are analyzing and debating important policy decisions and regulations that impact your business, you’re working hard running your business. That’s why we place great emphasis and realize the importance of being at the table to represent you and be the voice for business the community.

We believe the effectiveness of the Chamber’s advocacy is directly attributed to our members. Due to the talent and wisdom of the more than 500 business and community leaders volunteering their time to serve on various Chamber committees, boards, councils, and task forces, the Chamber’s advocacy is robust, impactful and effective. We value each and every one of our business members’ contributions, providing unique experiences and depth of understanding of the issues impacting their business and our community. The deep dives we take on issues has earned our Chamber a strong track record as subject matter experts and resulted in significant public policy accomplishments over our 131 year history.

The Chamber’s mission to build a positive business environment while enhancing our community’s quality of life enables the us to advocate on an extensive set of community issues that impact the strength and success of your business.

We regularly monitor and analyze the issues related to education and workforce, business regulation, natural resources, housing and infill redevelopment, healthcare, downtown redevelopment, and transportation, among others. The Chamber’s public policy structure allows us to provide insight and expertise on numerous quality of life issues and serve as grass-roots policy influencers, creating important policy platforms, including the annual adoption of the Chamber’s State and Federal Business Agenda highlighting legislative priorities.

The Chamber represents the business community at all levels of government, providing a business point of view and engaging with decision makers on critical quality of life issues. We keep our members informed through regular communications, timely action alerts and the Chamber’s monthly @ dvocacy eNewsletter. We value working with our Chamber members in determining the issues that impact our businesses and are important to our community. Your Chamber is the voice for the business community.
