STORY OF MANDALA
SOMETHING MUST CHANGE . . . MANDALA was founded in 2000 by Nathalie Prieger in Munich. Before that, as head designer at MCM, she had become aware of how production prices were being lowered for more profit. She decided not to support this business practice any longer ethically and quit her job. A stay in India opened her love for country and Yoga and to bring it into MANDALA.
THE FIRST YOGA FASHION LABEL IN GERMANY In 2001 the first collection appeared in selected retail stores and luxury hotels. Although sustainable sports fashion still was hardly known, Nathalie Prieger fought against all odds and managed to build up a thriving brand in a matter of years, especially in Germanspeaking countries.
A SUCCESS STORY Today, MANDALA products are best-selling, not only through the company‘s own online shop and boutique in Munich, they are also represented in large sport shops, department stores and online shops all over Europe. Since 2017, the company of MANDALA is located in Tutzing at the Starnberger Sea. Every six months, MANDALA brings out its top-quality Yoga collection for women consisting of Yoga pants, tops, bras, jackets and sweaters, the ideal companions not only on the mat, but also for everyday life.

VALUES & PHILOSOPHY
ECO & FAIR At MANDALA, each collection is made exclusively from natural or recycled raw materials that have been cultivated ecologically to conserve resources. Founder Nathalie Prieger is always on the lookout for further innovative processes and sustainable materials. MANDALA maintains long-term partnerships with its production facilities. Without fail, the company is committed to keeping its entire supply chain transparent and to ensure that all workers involved in the production line receive fair wages and are socially insured. One of the company‘s goals is to reduce plastic waste, which is why the goods are packaged plastic-free. Also, overproduction on a pre-order basis is avoided.
EMPOWERING WOMEN As women are mainly working in the production of clothing, fair treatment has top priority at MANDALA. Nathalie Prieger sticks to this philosophy also at her German business headquarters in Tutzing: her team there consists only of women. Flexible working hours, as well as parttime opportunities, offer all employees the chance of optimally combining profession with their personal life situation.

The activist @dariadaria alias Madeleine Daria Alizadeh dedicated herself to sustainable and fair fashion since 2013. Over the years she became one of the most influential bloggers and activist for sustainability, mindfulness and a conscious life. Madeleine Alizadeh shoulders responsibility and uses her popularity to inform, inspire and above all to make a difference. She lives in Vienna and is a role model for the change that our society has to undergo when dealing with climate change and exploitation of the 3rd world countries.
