Welcome to the
Community All-Stars Program The Dragons Community All-Stars Program is a special program that honors citizens and organizations who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to help others in need or improve the quality of life in the Miami Valley. The Dragons and Vectren recognize these Community All-Stars for their good deeds and efforts at games all season long.
WHO ARE COMMUNITY ALL-STARS?
Our Community All-Stars come from all walks of life, ages, and backgrounds. They are firefighters and police officers, doctors and good Samaritans, first responders and volunteers. Whether they’re saving a life or lending a hand at a homeless shelter, Community All-Stars help make life better for people around them. As a true community award, the Dragons need your help identifying citizens worthy of this great honor. Check out the next few pages to discover what our All-Stars receive and how you can nominate someone.

1 Recognizing Our All-Stars There are countless All-Stars in the community, and we want to make sure they are appreciated and recognized for their contributions. Being named as a Dragons Community All-Star is more than just a title. To honor, recognize, and reward these real-life heroes, each All-Star receives the following: Tickets to a sold-out Dragons game VIP parking Dragons gift bag Behind-the-scenes tour of Fifth Third Field Photo opportunity on the field Baseball Bucks for a complimentary meal in the stadium Their story shared on our website, Facebook page, and game program, PlayBall!

Field Presentations A few All-Stars each season are selected to receive a special reward: to be honored on the field during an inning break. These select individuals are chosen based on how inspiring, remarkable, and detailed their stories are, so the more information you provide, the better. As part of this unique event, the All-Star is honored in three special ways: 1. The honoree’s story is featured in the tri-fold ad of the PlayBall! game program for fans to read on the night of their field presentation. 2. The honoree is invited out on the field for a special tribute during an inning break, highlighting their contributions to the Miami Valley. 3. Following the tribute, the honoree is given an award, naming them a Dragons Community All-Star.

ALL-STAR: ROBERT ADAMSON Robert Adamson is the owner of One Bistro in Miamisburg, a restaurant with a cause. The restaurant strives to serve a healthy, delicious meal to all, both those who have the ability to pay, as well as those who would not be able to eat at a local bistro under normal circumstances. For guests that can pay, Robert asks that instead of tipping, to “pay it forward” and leave the tip to cover the meal for other guests that cannot afford a meal.
Past Community All-Stars Do you want to see some examples of the people we’ve named Community All-Stars in the past? Take a look at the stories below. Don’t forget to send in your own nominees! All-Star: Sgt. Jason Kramer On June 23, Sgt. Jason Kramer was called to help at the scene of an accident in a parking garage. When he arrived, he observed a fire where it appeared two cars had collided. The tires were still accelerating and Sgt. Kramer noticed a man slumped in the passenger seat of one car. After helping pull the man from the car, Sgt. Kramer returned to the vehicle and was able to turn off the car’s ignition. He then assisted the Kettering Fire Department in extinguishing the fire.
All-Star: Alanna Wall When 12-year-old Alanna Wall was just ten, she founded Polished Girlz, an organization with the goal of cheering up others by painting fingernails and teaching the importance of hand washing. Through her program, Alanna has touched the lives of hundreds of kids with disabilities or who are hospitalized. Polished Girlz continues to grow, with more than a hundred volunteers in cities across the United States.
