Before we can blog, we need to register a domain. Trust me, it could be one of your most exciting experience since getting your first kiss. Think of the domain name you want and for a start, I would recommend you to go to GoDaddy.com (or other domain registration site if you wish because the procedure should be similar). For those of you who are afraid of the hassle, you can always get a free blog from Blogger.com, LiveJournal.com, Blogspot.com, Weebly.com and, well, just type 'blogging sites free" in Google. Point to the desired site, and it will lead you on how to go about it. However, I can tell you, it's different when you have a domain where you can absolutely brag your own. Ok, I will put the steps in domain registration in point form for your easy reference. 1. Go to GoDaddy.com, type a name with the domain extension you desired; .com, .net, .org, .mobi. 2. Try to go for a .com if possible, and if it's not available, go for the next best thing, .net then .org. (Remember, don't make buying the next best domain name a passion. Some people go broke because of this and yours truly nearly fell into this trap. We are bloggers, not domainers.) 3. After finding your desired domain name, register your personal details in GoDaddy.com and get a login username. 4. After step 3, don't proceed with the purchase yet! Type in "GoDaddy coupon" in Googles and look for bargains. Click on the desired coupon and it will lead you back to GoDaddy.com. 5. Get your credit card out and make the purchase. I'm sure all of you have a credit card.
