Creative IndustriesUK economy and Employability • creative industries contributed 2.9% of the UK’s Gross Value Added in 20091. • 1.5 million people are employed in the creative industries or in creative roles in other industries • 5.1% of the UK’s employment • exports of services by the creative industries accounted for 10.6% of the UK’s exports of services • there were an estimated 106,700 businesses in the creative industries on the Inter-Departmental Business Register (IDBR) in 2011, this represents 5.1% of all companies on the IDBR

Southampton Solent School of Art A dynamic school that aligns itself to a long tradition of art school education whilst embracing new technologies and a vocational agenda. Undergraduate courses in Animation, Computer & Video Games, Fine Art, Graphic Design, Illustration, Interior Design, Photography, Product Design and Special Effects.
Excellent relations with local regional and national art and design institutions and supplement teaching with an exciting schedule of visiting lectures given by internationally renowned artists and designers.
Students work in a dynamic and creative environment. All our courses have dedicated studio areas where we combine state of the art technologies with traditional skills.
