PERSONAL QUOTES

My career goal is to leave a positive influence. Someone to look up to [as having] made a change in the world, [to] have done like great things for so many people, and have seen the other side, how other people live. I want to leave people with an impression of - he not only was talented and left home, but he affected people in his life that needed that, or were less fortunate than others. LIVE EVERYDAY LIKE ITS YOUR LASTDAY AND ALWAYS FOCUS ON YOURSELF FIRST

Remind yourself daily of what you want to achieve and who you ultimately wish to become as a person. Talk to God and it will all fall into place. Have faith and bust your ass.

HOW TO DATE & FALL IN LOVE DURING COVD-19 The landscape of dating and love as many of us know it has been dramatically altered by the coronavirus pandemic and the need to maintain physical distance from others. Even singles who have shunned dating apps in the past are now forced to look online to meet people, unable to rely on conversations with strangers in crowded bars. In-person first dates out have turned into FaceTime sessions as restaurants, bars, and concert venues shutter. Insider has put together a guide to approaching dating, sex, and love during the coronavirus pandemic — from navigating your exing relationships to developing new ones.

You and your partner can still spend time together if neither of you have symptoms

FaceTime dates and Zoom meetups are useful tools to get to know people in lieu of cocktails or dinner. If you do want to meet up with people, make sure to exercise caution Many couples are having to grapple with the question of whether to temporarily move in together during a self-quarantine. This is a hard decision, especially if you haven’t spent long periods of time together before. A general rule of thumb is if you have poor communication with your partner or can’t be entirely honest about your feelings with them, it’s better to quarantine separately. “As is always true in healthy relationships and making decisions, communication is key,” Dr. Melissa Robinson-Brown, a New York City-based relationship therapist, told Insider. “It may sound exciting and fun at first, but it’s important to communicate about the fun and the not-so-fun parts of, essentially, living together.” Early on in a relationship, you may not yet be equipped to handle the strain of a high-pressure situation like a quarantine. If that’s the case, you can stay in touch virtually. “This is a crisis in the US and the world that is leading to heightened anxiety along with other strong emotions,” Robinson-Brown said. “If individuals are not equipped to have difficult conversations or hold space for each other’s emotions, it will be quite difficult to quarantine together.”

Which is the best dating app: Tinder or Bumble? Tinder and Bumble are among the top dating apps of 2020, but the two could not be more different. Most users turn to Tinder and Bumble for different experiences. They say, when it comes down to it, Tinder is for hookups and Bumble is for dating. Still, people love the simplicity of Tinder while some prefer Bumble’s female-first approach. Which dating app is your favorite?

#TeamBumble

Bumble has a much more welcoming feel than its dating app counterparts. Instead of a free-for-all, women start conversations. Plus, recipients only have 24 hours to respond before they lose their chance on a match, which encourages quick responses and a general attitude of straight-forwardness—at least more so than Tinder. Because matches expire, users have a better chance of someone engaging in conversation on Bumble than they do on Tinder, and people tend to feel more hopeful about finding solid matches as a result. Given these factors, it’s not surprising that Bumble has the reputation for being the better app for actually dating. The entire purpose behind Bumble was to create a place that leveled the dating playing field and empowered users

#TeamTinder

Regardless of whether you're looking for a date or a hookup, you want to go where your chances are the best, which means you should go where the most people are. As Digital Trends' Joshua Fruhlinger puts it: When a single person then considers the fact that the vast majority of other single people are on Tinder, just like a night club, they realize that that’s the place they need to be. Tinder is everyone's first step into the dating-app world, and users are more likely to find someone looking for similar things as a result. Even though a large pool means a lot of swiping, the number of potential matches is its own reward. Tinder has also earned the reputation for hookups, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. According to data from LendEDU, roughly 22 percent of Tinder users say they use the app to find hookups. For many, a hookup is all they really want out of a dating app, and if that's the case for you, Tinder is an easy choice.

LOVE LIFE WITH

Mathew Hussey

HOW TO MAKE HIM A BETTER PARTNER

Q: HOW DO WE COMMUNICATE BETTER WITH OUR PARTNER? A:Avoid Labels. If you label someone lazy or a liar, he’ll feel like that for life. Worse, guys lose motivation to change when we feel like your perception of us is set in stone. Give him space to still win by saying, “When you didn’t come to dinner with my parents, it felt selfish, and I know that’s not who you are. It would mean a lot to me for us to spend time with them.” Q: HOW DO WE MAKE OUR PARTNER FALL INLOVE WITH US AGAIN? A:Reinforce His Best Moments. When he does something even a tiny bit right, give him love and attention for it. He gives you a small surprise? Tell him, “It’s so sexy to have a man who takes care of me the way you do.” Anything that a man hears is sexy is gold to him. (Warning: Do not use this power for evil!) Set Him Up to Win. Think of your early dates as a chance to leave clues about your expectations with a little technique called pre-framing. Say: “My friend gets annoyed because her boyfriend never opens the car door for her. It’s a shame when guys don’t do those little things.” He may not have even considered opening the car door, and all of a sudden, it’s priority number one.

Matthew Hussey is a British life coach, YouTube personality, and writer. Hussey has also made many television appearances, including being the matchmaker on NBC’s Ready for Love. He has been the resident love expert on the Today Show.

Q:HOW DO WE MAKE THEM VALUE US MORE? A:Make It About Your Joy, Not His Failure. He’s more of a slob than you? Instead of condemning, state your standards: “I need to live in a place that’s clean. I respect that it’s not a big deal to you, but it’s important to me to enjoy my home.” This removes ego. He’ll be happier to please you than admit he’s wrong.

IS HE REALLY INVESTING IN YOU? Q:HOW DO WE MAKE OUR PARTNER INVEST IN ME? A:His gifts show he really knows you. A man who is invested takes the time to get to know you well, and his gifts will be a testament to his expert grasp of your likes and dislikes. The reason he bought you that travel guide to Hong Kong even though you only mentioned offhand that you want to visit? Because he pays attention, that’s why. Q:HOW DO WEKEEP HIM INTERESTED? A:He makes plans for the future. If he makes arrangements for a winter ski trip in May, you can be sure that he plans on having you in his life for some time yet. Commitment phobes will be scared of making plans for the next weekend, let alone six months from now! Q:HOW DO WE GET HIM TO GROW CLOSER TO US? A: He wants all his closest people to meet you. You know he’s invested when he doesn’t treat his “friend time” and “girlfriend time” as mutually exclusive. If he wants you over for the holidays or can’t wait for you to have dinner with his buddies, it’s a sign he wants them to love you as much as he does. Q:HOW DO WE GET HIM TO NOTICE US? A:He posts pics of you on his Instagram. Instagram has become an unofficial dating profile, which means if he’s advertising that he’s taken, he really doesn’t mind everyone knowing. And unlike planning a vacation, social media is a public declaration of his devotion.

First-Date Outfits

SUMMER ADDITTION

Whether or not you’re expecting anything from the date, there’s merit in having a go-to first date outfit. Choose one outfit you feel really comfortable in, works for most occasions, shows off your sense of style and most importantly, doesn’t show sweat patches. You want your date to remember you for your personality, not your extra AF outfit that may or may not be borrowed from your most confident friend. In other words, stick with what you know — it’ll pay off. We suggest the classic: jeans and a nice top. Generally failsafe, a flattering pair of jeans and top can be dressed up or down depending on the situation and can be added to by a few simple changes. Whether it’s throwing on a blazer, opting for heels instead of flats, or accessorising with statement jewellery, the combination is a good starting point for most situations. Below, we round up some common first date locations and how to tweak your outfit accordingly.

What do I wear on a first date in spring and summer? Easy — your favourite summer dress. Pair your favourite dress with a pair of boots or sandals and you’re set! This is one of those times when jeans might be best left at home. Your date will be able to tell your personality through your dress, and a fun print can even be a conversation starter. Otherwise, a mini skirt could be balanced out with a floaty top for something a little more pulled together.

What do I wear on a first date to lunch? Judging on the situation, a polished (yet still casual) dress is a good pick for a lunch date. Depending on the style of dress, you can add in heels to smarten it up, or opt for flats or sneakers if the setting is more casual. See below for more first date outfit
