Join us for a day out in the city that Cartier-Bresson made famous through his decisive moments, Atget made beautiful through seductive documents of street studies, and Lartigue brought to life through his energetic spirit chronicling Paris society and culture. On Saturday 1st March we gather on the steps of the Sacre-Coeur in Montmartre where you will meet fellow participants. We head off to a local café, dive into some late morning petit déjeuner where your brief will be given to set you on course to capture the life and spirit of this beautiful city. Lo-fi, high tech, film or digital — it won’t matter – just be ready to shoot, shoot, SHOOT to our funky brief. Set your cameras to f8 and go! Non?

Meeting up in Paris: Although the event is for the one day, participants in the past have made it part of a short break and either arrived a day earlier or stayed the night over. LEARNING DESIGNED

The Mango Lab is a visual ideas and practical workshop and education company seated on the Chiswick, Ravenscourt and Acton border of West London. While using photography primarily as a means of a common exploration and narrative we are a multi-media facility which uses drawing, storycubing, smartphone and iPad apps, still images and film to explore communication through visuals. From our iPhonegraphy workshops specifically designed for corporate team building to one-to-one tutorials with individuals either making a shift to a photographic career or bringing images to publication, to preparing for the holiday of a lifetime, we consult and educate industry and public on their specific visual communication needs. Clients include the London Transport Museum, Leeds Castle, Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, University Arts London, Royal Photographic Society, CityWest Homes, EnjoyWork, Wandsworth Council and the Urban Photo Festival London. www.themangolab.co.uk
