The Focus of Semester 5 Design Studio is to create productive and performative architecture for a SEA school building at Borivali West, Mumbai. The aim would be to address concerns and energy consumption within the built form and therefore generate new questions of space. The site chose for this exploration is an existing SEA school building, Borivali. The students are given a free hand investigate and take informed decision, whether they want to retain and extend or redesign the entire built form.
ANALYZING WASTE DISPOSAL AT SITE AND LOCALLITY LEVEL In this introducing the waste managment system, Gole of this project is to orient net zero waste through the building. Because india genreates 1,00,000 metrics toes /day. Larger metropolise such as mumbai and delhi generated around 9600 metrics tonnes of garbage daily, And here in the borivali muncipality dump waste in the gorai dumping ground is located in the western suburs of mumbai. Approximately, about 2.34 million tone of waste goes to duping ground. The creek waters have been polluted due to inflow of leaching and air quality has deteriorated from the frequent buring of garbage at the gorai dumoing ground. If we are place the waste managment system, Reuse and Recycle the waste by own and community may followe this things then it will some percent of this help to affecte gorai dumping ground and theire community people health.
WASTE IS NOT A WASTE UNTIL WASTE How one can define waste ? Is one sees a things, How would one decides if it were a wate or not ? By asking has someone disposed of this things ? Even if the answer is no? is the things then a waste, or not ? The answer is that can make indivisual decision if the waste is personal one, But should not mean that the particular things is ' Univesal waste'. Organic or Inorganic waste material that has lost their value in the first owner but which may be of great valu to somebody else. Waste is value concept culturally constructed and subjective to the indivisual. In common men's eye anything that is unwanted or not useful is Garbage or Waste. In this architectural school paper has some value in drawings or modle making,but if work is done paper be like no value and goes to the does dustbeen and creating waste. If we are giving value to the waste, it gives so many opportunity to do something with waste.
