A NOTE FROM NANCY MANN, CEO OF MANN’S JEWELERS
As the jewelry industry does its best to emerge from the pandemic, we are excited to showcase great new collections, specifically focused around themes that are meaningful and sentimental.
One of the standouts in the world of fine jewelry this season is personal talismans. An update to the classic charm bracelet, the idea of wearing your heart on your sleeve or on your neck – or layered everywhere, for that matter— is another way to express your commitment to yourself or to someone you love. Luck and love are the predominant themes, but personalization with names, dates and gemstones make playing the charm game even more meaningful.
Zodiacs are also getting a modern update. Designers have gone crazy reinterpreting the star signs as a part of their jewelry collections. Roberto Coin, Monica Rich Kosann and Temple St. Clair have all created zodiac and celestial-inspired jewelry that I’d love to own. Based on the recommendation of Temple, I downloaded the Night Sky app, and now I’m thoroughly enjoying the nighttime skies. It’s the best possible version of “connecting the dots.”
It’s great to see yellow gold regaining its popularity once again. The warmth and optimism of the metal complements every skin tone, and yellow gold often looks even more impactful when layered. A simple chain worn alone can be sexy and sophisticated, and bold gold links with or without diamonds remain a time-honored classic.
The best part of this season is how easy it is to accessorize with everything we’re currently wearing. All of these jewels look equally great with jeans and a blazer, yoga pants or basic black. But what makes this jewelry so desirable to own is the ability to personalize a look that best meets you where you’re at in this moment.
