Description

This academic project is about a tiny house with maximum footprint of 25 m2 and the maximum total floor area is 35 m2. The house is self-efficient.

Description

Tiny house project developed on 23 Beach Street in Wellington, Ontario is southern oriented home with a beautiful view of the lake. The project as a whole was designed to take advantage of the natural heat in an attempt to be more eco friendly. A door in the south and north direction were selected to be opened in the summer creating natural air flow and circulation. In addition to that the solar panels are facing south as it is the optimal direction for receiving the most amount of sunlight. The bedroom is facing south for the same reason; more sunlight and more natural warmth. Some of the green elements is the halio smart tinting. These windows control the amount of sun that the house is going to receive. For the water we will use residential water recovery system and electrial heat pump.

Academic project focused in the design of a wood f rame house, construction drawings and construction documentation according to the Building Code.

Description

The objective of this project was to design a wood f rame house and produce construction drawings and documentation. The whole house is following the Par t 9 of the Building Code.

The idea is to create a two storey house for a family. In theroom, this allows the owner to rent for a second family if toilet for visitors and a open space kitchen with a family located, followed by a master bedroom ensuite and three more individual bedrooms.

The client is considering the construction of a warehouse-type building for lease to a perspective tenant and requires of a set of Construction Drawings & Documentation for the building based on the municipal zoning regulations and building tenant requirements.

Description

The project consists in 6 buildings and a total of 51 units. The main idea was to provide several different floor plans and take advantage of the site which faces both streets in front and in the back. Some of the units also offer a private roof deck, with a beautiful view of the Vancouver Mountains.

Description

The development consists of 2 - 1/2’” storey and 3 storey wood frame stacked townhouses which step down from the southwest corner to the northeast corner. The buildings consists of 6 blocks of stacked townhomes. Three blocks of five townhomes each, are facing West 28th Avenue (10 units each). The other townhomes are located at the rear of the site and arranged with a central courtyard that includes outdoor patios for the units. They include two blocks of four townhomes wide (1 of 8 units and 1 of 6 units) and one block of 3 townhomes wide (6 units). The buildings consists of 50 units with 1 level of underground parkade containing parking spaces, accessed off the lane, near the northeast end of the site.

This project consists in 2 Residential Buildings in the City of Port Moody, in the Vancouver Metropolitan Area, Canada. Two building on top of the hill with a stunning view of the mountains. The south building has 6 floors and the north building has also 6 floors. A total of 3 parking levels were needed to be able to accommodate all residents in these two buildings. Some of the units on top has a private deck, which gives more privacy and a general view of the lake and all the mountains. Apartments with 1,2 and 3 bedrooms and several different floor plans are available in the two buildings. We also provided a spacious interior courtyard with a playground area and amenities for the community.

Urban qualification in Guadalquivir river. The idea is to expand and increase the market value in the west side of the river, this portion of land it was before a water park, which currently is disabled.

Description

The building is located in Tommy Thompson Park, Toronto, Canada. Known for its proximity to the city center and its large number of bird species and wet areas. The interpretative centre’s objective is to provide a sustainable and accessible space where visitors can learn, connect to nature, observe the natural environment even being such close to the city.

The Interpretative Centre is divided in three different buildings: The main building, the cafeteria and the hostel. Every single building was created to provide a different experience to the visitors.

Site Analysis

The site analyzed in this report is portion of the Tommy Thompson Park, created in 1970s to preserve the fauna and flora. Total area: 254, 649 m2

This project it was divided in two parts:

1 - Once it’s done the Urban Analysis, we had chosen an empty lot in Guanabara Neighborhood. The group developed: Road analysis (Campinas and Grant Campinas Area), Building Permit Regulation, Zoning-by-law study.

2 - After finished the Urban Planning analysis, each member of the group took the responsability to develop different buildings, focusing in the currently potential that the area offers.

EXPANSION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE ROAD SYSTEM

We had developed a detail study of all the roads that connects the Main city of Campinas with the cities that surround it the city. We took all the current main roads and avenues that goes toward downtown, installed bus stops, expanded the avenues with more lanes and also reactivated the old street car to try to give it back the classic stytle to the city.

History and current situation

The 1992 Universal Exhibition of Seville was a turning point for the city of Seville, above all for its international image. The event left behind a new and enormous urban space and a variety of pavilions and infrastructures that were partly transformed into Isla Mágica. In the other side of the river lives more than 80% of Seville’s population. And downtown Seville is right beside Isla Magica. The idea is expand downtown and create a connection around the river equaly and increase the property values (which today is low). This new area will have green space that connects all the squares, bicycle path, residential and commercial building.

Bycicle Path Renovation

Currently in the Isla de La Cartuja it is mainly surrounded by industries and in such a bad condition that it is lacking quality of life. The master plan consists of new residential and commercial buildings as well as the bycicle paths being transfered to the street, giving more space for pedestrians to circulate around the sidewalks. Having these bycicle paths around keeps the European charm and lifestyle of bikes over automotives but moving them more into the street to create wider sidewalks gives the area more potential to become updated commercially and residentally.
