MANOJ VAMSI NERELLA STUDENT ARCHITECT
ABOUT ME Coming from Vinukonda a small town in Andhra Pradesh, I’m always curious about habitable spaces and the construction sector. I firmly believe that space is dynamic and a good design can make that space more reliable to live in. I enjoy all my time working on designing and making spaces better for habitation.

CHAAYO’S INTERIOR-EXTERIOR RENOOVATION

WORK :

YEAR
2019, S3
OVERVIEW :
To redesign a small space for retail food
Chaayos, one of the famous cafe extensions in India, while a internship trial turn, I was given the task to redesign the exteriors and interior of an outlet of chayoos in Canught Place, Delhi. This an inspired mixed used design.
An architectural attraction in the form of an arched gateway acting as the entrance, constructed as a memorial, from Luten's Delhi, with a Mughal-styled Jali Door. With the Massive opening on the one end, the cafe has a feel of openness, yet being in congestion with the regular motion, seating on the edge gives a connection between the inner and outer space.
The kitchen being open gives a clear view to the customers while their food is being prepared, a feeling of trust and belief in the brand.
The main aesthetic of this punk visual art is to shock or perplex

What Can Architecture Do for our Health?
Our rapidly developing world has given us the endless possibilities of globalization, within a brief amount of time. However, the introduction of a highly contagious virus into our world, poses a serious threat towards urban and rural settings alike. While most city inhabitants now have the ability of resorting to use their individual vehicles or even technologically advanced sanitation methods in public transports, the harsh reality is that most rural areas still lack the necessary resources to bring about such rapid changes to their lifestyle without disrupting their livelihood. Thus, a proposal to urbanize this mobility space and enhance the experience of all its stakeholders by using elements of natural ethnicity to this region while also attempting to incorporate, the recent challenges and subsequent design solutions brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Far, far away, far East and North, Hidden ‘twixt green mountain tops Emeralds ‘neath grey, gauzy fog; Where liquid ditties dribble forth As dancing creeks through vale and bog.
Yonder ‘neath those lofty crests, There lies a land of mystic lore Ringing of drums and horns furore, These warriorfolk doth ne’er rest; Their hearts bound by blood and more.
In the book chapter 7 covers the story of Khonoma Village in Nagaland, it was virtually documented by me & the teammates as a part of ADFT-5 studio, S5
The focus of the study is a little paradise located near Kohima. Its story starts from the 1840s, when the British spent four decades trying to annex a small territory in the Northeast. The indigenous warrior tribes offered unyielding resistance. Khonoma village, derived from the name of a native plant, Khwuno-ra, is estimated to around 100 years old. The total population of 3000 is divided among 600 households. is famous for its forests and is considered the oldest terraced cultivation in the terrain is hilly, and covered with forests, rich in various species of flora and fauna.

region. The It is home to
the Angami, a tribe of hunter-farmers famous for their martial prowess.
This brief study on their settlements gave me a chance to explore the vernacular architecture of Khonoma, how these olden tribes built structures in harmony with their surroundings, purely based on the innate knowledge of what should be, and what shouldn’t.
"Khonoma is a model for sustainable interdependence with nature."
