Town centre becoming greener Enjoy new facilities

Water Meadows Leisure Complex has officially opened following extensive renovations.

The centre, based off Bath Street, has seen the installation of new interactive water features, along with the introduction of a wall climbing zone and party room.

The gym has also been refurbished and relocated along with the café, and the west side changing rooms have also seen improvements made.

A wider range of health and fitness activities will be on offer at the leisure centre and residents will also benefit from IT improvements that will make bookings, of the Four Seasons Shopping Centre, near Walkden Street car park. payments, access to the facility and general enquiries quicker and easier.

Both spaces are part of a wider Mansfield District Council Urban Greening project in the town centre and have been designed to improve the air quality, water drainage and physical appearance of the town centre.

The work is part of £2m of enhancements to all three leisure centres in the district following the new contract awarded to Serco Leisure in 2022.
