Description:Through this piece I choose to address two issues: women empowerment and insecurities. By working on a mannequin of a female body I’m trying to indicate that women need to accept their bodies. Further, by painting women in different skin tones, hair textures, face shapes etc. I’m highlighting how each woman no matter how different they are from each other is beautiful. They do not need to cater to society’s demand of an ideal look to fit in. Only when women feel empowered from within can they exercise it outside and make a difference.
