Call to Worship

(From 2nd Corinthians 13:11–13 Joel 2:28, Micah 6:8, Amos 5:24, Hosea 14:2,)

Leader: Brothers and sisters listen to my appeals.

People: Agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.

Leader: Greet one another with a holy kiss for when you do the resurrected Christ will guide us all.

People: And Christ will guide us to do justice, to love mercy and to walk humbly with our God.

Leader: For the Lord has declared that our sons and daughters would prophesize; that the young will see visions, while the elders dream dreams. May the Holy trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit…move us to action.

People: So that justice rolls like water and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.

#25 Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty

Reginald Heber/John B. Dykes

1. Holy, holy, holy! Lord God

Almighty! Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee; Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty; God in three persons, blessed Trinity!

2. Holy, holy, holy! All the saints adore Thee, Casting down there golden crowns around the glass sea; Cherubim and seraphim falling down before Thee, Which wert, and art, and evermore shalt be.

3. Holy, holy, holy! Though the darkness hide Thee, Though the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see; Only Thou art holy; there is none beside Thee, Perfect in power, in love, and purity.

4. Holy, holy, holy! Lord God

Almighty! All thy works shall praise

Thy name in earth and sky and sea; Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty; God in three persons, blessed Trinity! Amen.
