Marc Bombenon – Everything You Need to Know About the Philanthropic Entrepreneur
Marc Bombenon is an entrepreneur that has worked on numerous industries throughout his professional career. Currently, he is Executive Chairman of SureCall Contact Centers, a contact center/B.P.O. that is based in Alberta, Canada serving customers globally. Marc is a professional who has worked in numerous industries including; telecommunications, aviation, and housing and development. He remains a serial entrepreneur as well as a business mentor. He specializes in advising business people about ways they can steer their business to success. Even though Marc Bombenon is mostly associated with success in most of the industries he has worked in, he has experienced the failure of one business as well. Not a fond moment, but one that offered experience, learnings and a healthy dose of humility.
The other interests of Marc Bombenon and charity involvement Apart from business, Marc Bombenon is also involved in many other activities that involve giving back. He and his wife Desiree work tirelessly in order to assisted and support many incredibly worthwhile charities and Not for Profits, both in Alberta and internationally. Their latest project, Hero Girls™, is a programmed they launched supported by SureCall’s Good Call™.
The Hero Girls project has completed a pilot project in Nepal that aims to assist the girl education there. The project also aims to equip girls there with self-confidence and basic business skills that will allow them to establish a local business which supports them, their families and their community. SureCall also funds a Co-Op fund that offers micro-lending to assist the girls with the startup. Because the pilot program was such a success in Nepal, Marc and Desiree want to expand it in the country and also spread it to other countries with the same need.
His interest in aviation Marc is an avid jet and helicopter pilot with an experience that spans over 30 years! When he was growing up, he always dreamt of becoming a pilot, an interest that came about by playing with kites, plastic models and rockets in his childhood. He used to spend most of his weekends at the Dorval Airport in Montreal just to watch planes take off and land with his childhood friend. His interest in aviation had to be put on hold while he started his own business in Calgary in 1982. Marc soon discovered he had two major passions, communications and aviation which spawned into several large communications companies and one aviation company.
