The Italian Trade Commission is the Italian government agency entrusted with the mission to facilitate contacts between Italian companies and the rest of the world. In the United States our objective is to expand relations between Italian and American companies and to develop trade between Italy and the US. To attain this goal, we provide information, assist companies in selecting sectors and partners, promote products through exhibitions, b-to-b meetings, tradeshows, seminars, trade delegations, tastings and media campaigns both in Italy and the US. Our global network consists of 75 offices in 65 countries. Our US offices are located in New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles and Miami.

TexClubTec - the Italian association of technical and innovative textiles - aims to promote and develop Italian technical textiles, fostering greater awareness throughout the whole production chain. Its members include a broad cross section of manufacturers, representative bodies and consumers sharing a similar interest in this sector (from machinery to fibers, yarns, cords, nets, fabrics, nonwovens, coated, chemical treatments, finishing, end-uses, research centers and laboratories). Research, Development and Technological transfer: TexClubTec contributes to boost technical textiles’ development at an international level, participating to many European research projects as coordinator or partner (Profitex, Storepet, Intimire, Web Texpert, Polytect, Wash & Load and so on). Furthermore, TexClubTec increases its knowledge and expertise with studies about specific market areas, new products and technological processes. TexClubTec contributes also to the knowledge spread by participating actively in technical conferences in collaboration with institutional bodies, research centers and companies of the sector such as the annual NanoItalTex conference ( www.nanoitaltex.org). Publications: Tex Innovation, Mondo Tessile and Tecno Tessili. The magazine Tex Innovation (one issue every six months) is a sort of monitoring tool of the evolution of the application areas in the technical textile sector with articles about new products, production processes and new technologies (available for free in paper format and online on TexClubTec’s website). Mondo Tessile and Tecno Tessili are two three-monthly publication about the textile and clothing sector (Mondo Tessile) and the technical textiles’ world (Tecno Tessili), including information about news, markets, products and innovative technologies, with in-depth analysis dedicated to specific application fields and countries. Promotion: Here some of the international fairs at which TexClubTec and its member take part: Techtextil Frankfurt, A+A Dusseldorf, Milano Unica, Techtextil India, Cinte Techtextil Shangai, Techtextil North America, Ispo Munich and so on. Along with fairs, many trade missions had been planned over the years (Poland, Turkey and China) to foster international relationships among Italian and foreign companies. Standardization: TexClubTec is a member of CEN, the European Committee For Standardization, and of UNI, the Italian National body for Standardization. Tools: TexClubTec created a network of contacts between companies, institutions and potential customers and with European, International and Italian associations and key authorities, European University and Research Centres. TexClubTec offers itself also as a documentation centers on standards, regulations, products and technologies, with the organization of training courses, custom tailored on request for members.
