Architecture Master’s degree Student from the University of Sassari interested on the “Participatory Urban Planning” theme. My study plan organisation was initially oriented on the studies of the growing cities, more precisely on the city of Santiago de Queretaro (Mexico). It had to bee my Master thesis research field, in order to study, understand and eventually intervene on the problem of the uncontrolled urbanization. Unfortunately, I had to renounce to this project due Covid-19 emergency. For this reason, I decided to orient my new Master thesis studies on the theme of the “depopulation of the Sardinian’s inland areas”, topic that I am currently studying and in which I am very interested.

Appartment in Oradea: Interior Design Project Oradea, Bhior, Romania 2019/20

The demand was to design the new interior of an existing apartment in Oradea. Starting from the develop of the concept it was possible to identify the main features that would have characterized the element of the whole house. The aim was to follow all the technical procedure provided in order to develop an interior design project. For this reason, in addition to the new plan of the apartment, the plumbing and the electrical system plan were carried out. From this project is possible to see how important is for the architect to have mastery of representation ability, for himself and tom help the client to understand the general idea of the new design.

Archaeological site of Anghelu Ruju, Alghero: Exibith Design Project UNISS 2018/19, Alhgero, SS, Sardinia The necropolis of “Anghelu Ruju is a prenuragic archaeological site located closed to city of Alghero. It is one of the biggest Sardinian Necropolis. The aim was to design a new visitors centre that included an acceptance space, an exhibition part, and spaces dedicated to refreshment and shop. The Project intends to enrich the visitors experience in order to increase the interest through three principal elements: inform, intrigue and interest. This is possible only by a detailed design of the graphic and communicative methods, materials, scenography and contents.

In order to make interesting the site, it was chosen to work on a Concept based on the relationship between three themes: History, Archaeology and myth. In fact, in addition to the historical testimonials, it is of relevant importance and interest the mythology built around of these sites. If from the historical point of view they are considered as a Tomb, for the myth they are consider as fairies homes thanks to their narrow conformations, the “Domus De Janas. Through graphics and communications, it was possible to develop a different own identity for each theme, designed by using a graphic module of the square.

The Prison Context: Exibith Design Project Digital Design Media, UNISS 2017/18

The aim was to the design an Exhibition project for the “Giuseppe Tommasiello” confinement house of Alghero, for the “Monumenti Aperti” events. The first phase was interest from the analyses of the common perception of the Prisons, in order to understand how the people perceive it, on the prisoner path between the tribunal and reclusion structure, and on the features of the different reclusion system. From these studies is possible to figure out that these sites are perceived as anonymous boxes, in which no one know, and no one wonder what is happening inside. For this reason, the project consisted on the choice of module, that has been modify following the features of the represented

structures. Three different elements where define, and their compositions on the space created the expositive area. On the floor a three different coloured line path were designed, in order to allow visitor to understand which could be the possible ways that prisoners could follow before to reach their destination prison typology.

The inhabited centre of Padria: analysis for an integrated urban recovery strategy Bachelor Thesis, Padria, Sardinia 2017/18 The thesis development born as an opposed investigation to the study “Comuni in estinzione. Gli scenari dello spopolamento in Sardegna” published by “Regione Sardegna” in 2013. The study, using data not punctually contextualized, identifies Padria among the municipalities at risk of disappearance and foresees its demographic desertification in the years 2034-2036, preceded only by Semestene and Monteleone Roccadoria with a period of tendential extinction between 2023 and 2031. The thesis, in fact, undertakes to carry out a detailed analysis of the inhabited centre of Padria demonstrating, through what is claimed inside, that it presents numerous traces of relaunch, witnessed by the latest investments which are the synonym of a reality that does not intend to die yet.

By overlapping the levels of study it emerged that from a purely analytical and objective point of view, it is possible to define the village as mostly uninhabited and degraded, but from the potential perspective it is possible to define it as an inhabited centre with a high potential for residential use and in a good state of conservation, since the deterioration is mostly a consequence of the lack of ordinary maintenance. These considerations, if integrated with the different levels of study of the territorial context, could really create solid foundations for the implementation of an intervention aimed at the redevelopment of the country through the re-use of the disused private building heritage. The goal of the work carried out was not only to develop a hypothetical intervention strategy, but to use a method of analysis that would give the opportunity to identify and understand the problems and potentials related to a particular place. Urban planning and strategic proposals must know in detail the place and the elements that compose it, so that they can be developed on the basis of concrete, useful and reliable information.

A further goal was to involve the citizens of the country within the analysis, to understand needs, proposals and their will to participate, because there is not better method of evaluation than the one of the people who live there. The results turned out to be satisfactory and reliable, recording a high sense of appearance in the country. The design part of this work wanted to suggest an intervention to enhance and relaunch the country, without however claiming to resolve any problems identified in the analysis. However, we know it is not enough to take into account only the data that emerged from a self-filled questionnaire to develop an intervention strategy that considers the citizen as a protagonist, but it would be necessary to study at least their way to think in a more detailed and intimate way.

Project for the new Contemporary Theatre of Oradea Oradea, Bhior, Romania 2019/20

The potential of the project site are multiple, including the presence of a cultural centre considering the museum, the library and the school. Looking beyond the river instead we find the university campus which also constitutes an important element on which the project is based. The presence of numerous green areas, rivers, cycling and pedestrian routes could, together with the project, be the base for the recovery of the entire area itself. These considerations, together with the problem of the city as the absence of a common social exchange place, the absence of places by creative expression and the absence of the themed spaces, could be a new centre able to solve all of these problems. The proposed architectural concept will be a modern one, capable of reflecting the avant-garde spirit of the proposed function. A contemporary image will be obtained, anchored to the existing urban context.

“CCEA MOBA” International competions: Škola Smíchov Smichov district, Prague, BHM 2017/18

The aim was to design a new public school in the historic Smichov district of Prague. Organized by the Centre for Central European Architecture (CCEA MOBA) on behalf of the City of Prague, the competition drew 66 entries from around the world. The new 10,000 m2 building will accommodate approximately 540 students aged 6 to 14. It is located within the ambitious Smichov City redevelopment, close to the history centre, which aims to transform some 200,000 m2 of former urban railway lands in a multifunctional environment. The project concept was to create a space in which students could grow in an interdisciplinary space, in which the relationship between difference realities could create a perfect and complete learning environment. The aim was not only to create internal relationship, but also to create connection with the external environments.

The building itself is conceived of as a simple box, hosting classrooms, gyms, offices, terraces, gardens, etc. These different facilities could be also used from private people outside from the school system, all organized from a detailed schedule. Internally the school is organized around of the central court, where the classes overlook, and the movement spaces are organized as ring around the functions. In order to break the monotony of the long corridors, a series of widening spaces have been designed, and it is possible to feel also from the external forms of the elevations. This is project is the result of the previous considerations together with the theme of the passive structures. For this reason, a natural ventilations system, a solar panel collector, shading system, water collector and coloured solar shields have been designed.

Sports hall concept for the Oradea former landfill Oradea, Bhior, Romania 2019/20 FATADA E

Oradea is considered a central and important pole for the Bhior region of Romania, that is why it needs important investments also at a sporting and not just a cultural level. For this reason, an ideas competition was held within the University of Oradea, which included the presentation of a project concept for the new sports centre in the city. The development of the Concept focused on the idea that the new sports centre should fundamentally become a space for social relationship, for this reason a structure was designed that would host as many interdisciplinary functions as possible.

The proposal was limited to the consideration of the overall dimensions without however going into the details of the internal distribution. However, the load-bearing structure and the constituent constructive elements of the external walls were studied to demonstrate the feasibility analyses of the project. The whole building will be design on a regular internal steel structure, that it will allow a free disposition of the internal functions, with the possibility to eventually also change the future distributions of the spaces.

Restoration Project of Foghe defensive coastal Tower UNISS 2018/19, Tresnuraghes, OR, Sardinia

Torre Foghe is located on the territory of Tresnuraghes, more precisely on the “ Punta Foghe” solitary promontory. It is characterized from a fantastic view on the see, on the “Riu Mannu” mouth and on a particularly environment, important for the high cliffs consisting of large cliffs and various little islands. At the moment the tower architectural and static conditions are precarious, with a large number of collapses extended on all the cylinder basement, on the entrance frontal elevations and on the east side masonry. The stairs to go up on to the parade ground is only partially intact, and the other part is interested from an important collapse the let difficult and dangerous the climb. Also, the parade ground parapet is almost all collapsed, becoming a potential danger for the visitors. Following these considerations, a restoration project to secure and to facilitate the use of the site has been done.

“Cammino 100 Torri”: Enhancement of defensive coastal system Project UNISS 2018/19, Sardinia The Sardinia coastal towers are a fortified structure complex that have constituted the defensive, sighting and communication system of coastal strip In order to enhancement these structures, and to create new important archaeological local site, it was decided to integrated adopt and review the “Cammino 100 Torri” system to the restoration project. It is an existing tracking path of 1284 km the allows visitor to do the tour of the island by walk. This can be considered a Macro system connected by Micro system of shorter path. After a detailed study of the visitor’s needs related with the actual service offered from the existing system, it is emerged the need to develop an infrastructure system in order to follow and inform the users of the tour. The micro systems are developed as a short paths of maximum 30 km, in which are located all the necessary services.

The interpretative infrastructure project is the result of the detailed study of the territory morphology of the whole way and of the analysis of the native flora of the environment. This is because it was necessary to consider the continuous change of the environment during the seasons, because it could be difficult to identify the infrastructure product. All these analyses have led to the creation of information elements that can be visible and recognizable in all different situations. So, in order to optimized also the whole route, the site accessibility project, the interpretive infrastructure project and the interpretative product project were carried out. To identify this network out of the path, a coordinate image (Logo) was designed, a Mobile App and website were developed and the merchandising products have been created. .

Requalifications Project of “Bua Manor House” UNISS 2017/18, Oschiri, SS, Sardinia

Due to the emigration dynamics, the abandoned building heritage of the Sardinia villages is getting bigger. The requalification of this sites is becoming more and more relevant. For this reason, it’s common to assist to the regeneration of old buildings instead of the construction of new ones. The “Bua Manor house”, located in Oschiri, was in a state of decay and instability. The job consisted on the analysis and evaluation of the deterioration grades of the construction elements, in order to intervene with the right capacity improvement.

The Sling: Product Design Relief Product design, UNISS 2017/18

The aim of the study was to develop a “Meta project based on the critical analysis of a toys, in this case of the industrial plastic sling. Thanks to the relief of every component and detail, it was possible to have a good knowledge of the object. Starting from the investigation of the use and the relationship between object - user, and following with the study of its unconscious imaginary, was possible to individuate the dualism toy-weapon that afflict this item. Due to these all consideration, a new material object concept was developed, and by using it would be possible to understand this dualism. The Project does not appear in the book because it was only partially developed, but it would like that the attention would be placed on the relief work and modelling.
