Throwback to the Monaco Yacht Show 2022
Feadship unveiled 85m superyacht concept Slice during the Monaco Yacht Show 2022.
In this article I would like to put a couple of yacht builders that attended the Monaco Yacht Show 2022 in the spotlight. Here are some major players of the superyachting industry and how they made a lasting impression during the Monaco Yacht Show.
Amels
Prior to the Monaco Yacht Show, the Damen Yachting team proudly con rmed a unique Amels line-up during the show. Three of their latest deliveries, which together represent their complete Amels portfolio, have been on display at the show for their industry debuts. The rst Amels 60 – Come Together, their latest and exclusive Amels Full Custom – Energy, and the awardwinning and largest Amels Re t to date, Here Comes The Sun.
Come Together
I was welcomed aboard Come Together by the Amels team and the Captain of this magni cent yacht for a tastefully and well-organised press event and tour during the Monaco Yacht Show and the grandiosity of this robust and luxurious superyacht literally le me speechless. A er a presentation about the Amels brand, the vision, and the direction that the superyacht builder is heading towards, the Captain took us for a tour to get a closer look and feel of what Come Together is all about.
This rst Amels 60 with hybrid power and propulsion technology has an Espen Øino exterior design. The yacht was delivered in the spring of 2022. It is not only the Espen Øino exterior that is shaping up. Winch Design was appointed to create the bespoke interiors. Come Together has a relaxed interior while maintaining a masculine edge. Robust shapes are mixed with playful elements, like the guitar in the skylounge, which speaks to the yacht’s Beatles-in uenced name. Base materials include Jerusalem limestone, light bleached matte oak, light-tone >>

walnut and bronze with a warm natural colour palette. Cream-colored fabrics and gold-toned lighting contribute to the relaxed and breezy atmosphere. The design has been tailored to replicate ‘arelaxed family home on the water’, according to a representative from Winch. “For the most part, we have used pure and natural materials to emphasise the relaxed ‘home at the beach’ spirit of the interior. However, we have also added layers of surface interest to materials such as stones and timbers to create unique and tactile nishes.” The 27m long sundeck features an outdoor cooking station with a teppanyaki grill and an extendable dining table that seats up to eighteen guests for occasional dining; the space can also be set up as an outdoor cinema when the sun sets. Guests can also make full use of a 38m swim platform which provides a waterside sunbathing space and a launch pad for a selection of toys. Meanwhile, the tender garage in the foredeck can store a 9m limousine, the largest tender on a yacht of this size. The yacht’s accommodation has been con gured to meet the owner’s needs. There are ve guest cabins of the same size and a full-beam owner’s cabin. Come Together carries an energetic crew of fourteen including a personal trainer, yoga instructor, videographer, DJ, and watersports enthusiasts.
Benetti
Following the success achieved at the Cannes Yachting Festival, Benetti has participated with two premières at the 31stedition of the Monaco Yacht Show of this year. The Monaco Yacht Show con rms itself as a precious moment for Benetti and it is aimed at promoting creative excellence in the nautical world. The most signi cant models of the Shipyard were presented to the market in Monaco and important novelties have been anticipated during the Press Conference that took place on Thursday, September 29th, at the Hermitage Hotel. The Shipyard presented the new B.Now 50m MY Iryna and Custom 65m MY Triumph during the show. MY Iryna, the rst unit of the B.Now 50m, combines modernity, innovation and functionality, inaugurating a range that includes, in addition to the 50m, three models of 60, 67 and 72m. The yacht is an expression of the cra smanship, design know-how and construction quality of

Benetti which, together with the RWD design studio, responsible for the exteriors, shares the desire to break the mould of classic yacht design to create new paradigms. The external lines, in a visual harmony of the decks from stern to bow, develop in constant contact with the sea. B.Now 50m MY Iryna focuses on the haut de gamme quality of life on board; almost half of the living area is external and the interiors, which can be totally customised, represent the tradition of Benetti’s high cra smanship.
Triumph
Custom 65M MY Triumph, another superyacht that I was able to get a tour on during the Monaco Yacht Show, is one of the most recent megayachts launched by Benetti. Developed over 65m in length, it features ve enclosed decks plus a Sundeck extending in an extremely balanced ratio between volumes and length. The sleek, sculpted exterior lines are the work of Cassetta Yacht Designers, Benetti’s style o ce took care of the interiors and the Green & Mingarelli Design studio handled the decoration. Triumph o ers high hull e ciency and ensures quiet sailing for long-range travel in maximum comfort. The Monaco International Boat Show was also the occasion to present Diamond 44m Emuna, agship of the Class category; ayacht characterised by imposing and solemn external lines, designed by Giorgio M. Cassetta, which are matched by spacious interiors with a contemporary atmosphere, designed by Benetti’s Interior Style Department.

Feadship
This year, iconic Dutch yacht builder Feadship welcomed everyone at their festive stand at the Monaco Yacht Show once again with their usual treats, including the latest PILOT magazine, and an exciting all-new Concept design. As always, there were Feadships berthed in and around the iconic harbour in Monaco and Feadship had the 55m Somnium on display showcasing an interior by FM Architeturra. This fully custom Feadship was delivered late in 2021 and has been cruising ever since. On-board tours of this family-friendly masterpiece were available by appointment only, but the Feadship stand was open to all.
Slice
Feadship has also unveiled its latest 85m superyacht concept during the Monaco Yacht Show. Named Slice, the design marks the eleventh concept ever presented by the shipyard and builds on extensive research and discussions with owners, designers and architects. The initial concept is the work of Studio de Voogt. Key to the yacht’s design is a long strip of glazing that runs entirely from bow to stern, allowing for natural light to lter in through multiple decks. Slice “turns the inside out and the outside in,” according to Studio De Voogt’s Lead Designer Chris Bottoms and Head of Design Tanno Weeda.
Thank you Monaco!
These, of course, were only a couple of yacht builders among the many that made the Monaco Yacht Show one to remember. And let’s not forget all the suppliers and designers behind the masterpieces. Each company forms a piece of the puzzle, and together they form one team, making superyacht dreams come to life. All in all, I wouldn’t have wanted to miss the Monaco Yacht Show of 2022. I was inspired and amazed by the enthusiastic people behind all of these amazing yachts that were on display. The atmosphere was sublime.
See you next year!
