IT: Densificazione significa aumentare la capacità residenziale senza consumare ulteriore terreno. A Roma questo si traduce nella trasformazione di un “villino” in una “palazzina”. Questo intervento, realizzato nel quartiere Pigneto, riprende la tradizionale strategia della sopraelevazione di edifici esistenti e offre un’alternativa alla estensione urbana in orizzontale. Partendo dall’analisi del fenomeno dello sprawl urbano, la ricerca mira a proporre una soluzione alternativa alla crescita residenziale incontrollata che negli ultimi decenni ha notevolmente ampliato i confini della città.

DE: Nachverdichtung bedeutet, die Wohnkapazität zu erhöhen, ohne zusätzliche Flächen zu verbrauchen. Das heißt, im Fall der Stadt Rom, die Umwandlung eines “villino” in eine “palazzina”. Dieser im Stadtteil Pigneto durchgeführte Eingriff greift die traditionelle Strategie der Aufstockung bestehender Gebäude auf und bietet eine Alternative zur horizontalen Stadterweiterung. Ausgehend von der Analyse des Phänomens der Urban Sprawl zielt die Forschung darauf ab, eine alternative Lösung für das unkontrollierte Wohnwachstum vorzuschlagen, das in den letzten Jahrzehnten die Grenzen der Stadt erheblich erweitert hat.

EN: Densification means increasing the residential capacity without consuming additional land. In Rome this translates in the transformation of a “villino“ into a “palazzina”. This intervention, carried out in the Pigneto district, recovers a traditional strategy of adding floors on top of existing buildings while offering an alternative to horizontal construction. Starting from the explanation of the urban sprawl phenomenon, the research aims to propose an alternative solution to the uncontrolled residential growth that in the last decades has greatly expanded the city boundaries.

IT: Il progetto si trova al centro del villaggio di Montuiri a Maiorca. Prendendo ispirazione dalle caratteristiche del luogo, di cui è tipica la costruzione in pietra Marés, l’edificio ricalca le operazioni di scavo e di estrazione della pietra dalla cava. L’edificio residenziale é inteso come un unico volume da cui si sottrae la sostanza costruita. Il progetto vuole esplorare nuove concezioni e situazioni spaziali che si possono ottenere quanso la pietra è a contatto con i differenti agenti atmosferici, l’acqua, la luce il vento etc.

DE: Das Projekt befindet sich im Zentrum des Dorfes Montuiri auf Mallorca. Inspiriert von der Besonderheit des Ortes, nämlich dem typischen Marés-Steinbau, spürt man in dem Bauwerk den Tätigkeiten des Abbaus und der Extraktion des Marés aus dem Steinbruch nach. Das Wohngebäude ist als ein einziges Volumen gedacht, von dem die Bausubstanz entfernt wird. Es zielt darauf ab, die räumlichen Situationen zu erforschen, die entstehen können, wenn der Stein mit verschiedenen atmosphärischen Mitteln wie Wasser, Luft und Licht in Kontakt kommt.

EN: The project is located in the centre of the village of Montuiri in Majorca.Inspired by the characteristics of the site, where the Marés stone construction is a common feature, the architecture reflects the operations of digging and extracting stones from a quarry. The residential building is intended as a single volume from which the built substance is removed. The project aims to explore the spatial situations that can be obtained when the stone gets in contact with different atmospheric agents, such as water, air and light.

IT: L’edificio si trova nella città di Sédhiou nella regione della Casamance. La regione ha vissuto una lunga guerra civile che ha lacerato la società. Oggi, il progetto rappresenta la necessità di ripristinare la comunità, e le sue radici ormai frammentate. Tra le varie problematiche vi é anche la mancanza di un sistema sanitario efficiente e dunque un centro medico è perfetto per i bisogni della popolazione. Il sito si trova direttamente sul fiume, che rappresenta l’infrastruttura più importante della regione.

DE: Das Gebäude befindet sich in der Stadt Sédhiou in der Region Casamance. Die Region hat einen langen Bürgerkrieg erlebt, der die Gesellschaft auseinanderdrängt. Heutzutage wird die Notwendigkeit betont, die Gemeinschaft wiederherzustellen. Die Region leidet auch unter dem Mangel an einem effizienten Gesundheitssystem, und ein Gesundheitszentrum passt perfekt zu den Bedürfnissen der Bevölkerung. Das Grundstück liegt direkt am Fluss, der die wichtigste Infrastruktur darstellt.

EN: The building is located in the town of Sédhiou in the Casamance region. The region has experienced a long civil war that has torn the society apart. Nowadays, the need to restore the community is emphasised. A lack of an efficient health system also affects the local community, and a health centre is a perfect fit for the needs of the population. The site is located directly on the river, which represents the most important infrastructure of the region.

IT: Il sito si trova nel centro di Atene vicino a Monastiraki. Il cuore del progetto consiste nello studio di un percorso che perfora, costruisce e passa attraverso, collegando delle situazioni interessanti riscontrate nella struttura esistente. Per dare unità a questa diversità, è stato fissato un certo numero di regole e una grammatica per orientare le decisioni progettuali. Ma da dove viene questo lessico? Per esempio, sono state identificate alcune situazioni e realtà contestuali nella città di Atene.

DE: Der Standort befindet sich mitten in Athen in der Nähe von Monastiraki. Der Entwurf besteht auf ein Pfad, der perforiert, baut und durchläuft und interessanten räumlichen Situation der vorhandenen Struktur miteinander verbindet. Um dieser Vielfalt Einigkeit zu verleihen, werden einige Regeln und eine Grammatik hergestellt, die den Entwurfsentscheidungen die Richtung geben. Aber woher kommt dieses Lexikon? Interessante Situationen werden in der Stadt Athen identifiziert, und in dem Projekt übersetzt.

EN: The site is located in the middle of Athens near Monastiraki. We have developed a path that perforates, builds and passes through and connects interesting situation we noticed in the existing structure. To give unity to this diversity, we have given ourselves some rules and a grammar that give direction to the design decisions. But where does this lexicon come from? For example, we have identified some interesting situations and settings in the city of Athens.

IT: Il complesso di edifici si trova nel centro tecnologico dell’università Roma Tre. Lo sviluppo urbano del quartiere richiede la creazione di spazi pubblici che siano accessibili non solo agli studenti ma anche ai comuni cittadini. Il complesso edilizio è composto da quattro elementi che sono collegati da una rampa. Anche il dormitorio degli studenti dall’altra parte del sito è collegato all’edificio principale. La piazza centrale è un luogo di incontro per studenti e cittadini.

DE: Der Gebäudekomplex befindet sich im Technologiezentrum der Universität. Die Entwicklung des Stadtteils erfordert auch die Schaffung von öffentlichen Räumen, die nicht nur für Studenten, sondern auch für normale Bürger zugänglich sind. Der Gebäudekomplex besteht aus vier Elementen, die durch eine Rampe verbunden sind. Auch das Studentenwohnheim auf der anderen Seite des Geländes ist mit dem Hauptgebäude verbunden. Der zentrale Platz ist ein Treffpunkt für Studenten und Bürger.

EN: The building complex is located in the university’s technology centre. The development of the district also requires the creation of public spaces that are accessible not only to students but also to ordinary citizens. The building complex consists of four elements that are connected by a ramp. the student dormitory on the other side of the site is connected to the main building too. The central square is a meeting place for students and citizens.

IT: L’obiettivo è quello di cambiare le relazioni tra gli elementi architettonici naturali e urbani per consentire una diversa visione e percezione dell’ambiente. Il limite principale è la quasi totale assenza di un budget finanziario, ma questa è un’occasione per mostrare come, anche senza disponibilità finanziaria, sia possibile portare una nuova spazialità a una preesistenza urbana.

DE: Ziel ist es, die Beziehungen zwischen natürlichen und städtischen Architekturelementen zu verändern, um eine andere Sichtweise und Wahrnehmung der Umgebung zu ermöglichen. Die Hauptgrenze ist das fast völlige Fehlen eines Finanzhaushalts, was jedoch eine Gelegenheit ist, zu zeigen, wie es auch ohne finanzielle Verfügbarkeit möglich ist, eine neue Räumlichkeit in eine städtische Präexistenz zu bringen.

EN: The aim is to change the relationships between natural and urban architectural elements to allow a different view and perception of the surroundings. The main limitation is the almost total absence of a financial budget, but this is an opportunity to show how it is possible to bring a new spatiality into an urban pre-existence even without financial resources.

IT: Opere d’arte performative concepite per il seminario su Neuroarchitettura e Performance Art condotto dalla dott.ssa Maria da Piedade Ferreira MSc, Facoltà di Architettura, Università Tecnica di Monaco, con il supporto dell’incarico di insegnamento TUM Women’s Representative. La performance è stata sviluppata durante le restrizioni di COVID-19 attraverso la collaborazione a distanza e ha coinvolto i partecipanti che hanno lavorato insieme da diverse località come Monaco, Stoccarda, Alicante e Cracovia. https://aja-tum.de/reflektieren/dilemmata

DE: Performancekunstwerke, konzipiert für das Seminar über Neuroarchitektur und Performancekunst, das von Dr. Maria da Piedade Ferreira MSc, Fakultät für Architektur der Technischen Universität München mit Unterstützung des Lehrauftrags der Frauenbeauftragten der TUM durchgeführt wurde. Die Performance wurde während der COVID-19-Restriktionen durch Zusammenarbeit aus der Ferne entwickelt und involvierte Teilnehmer, die von verschiedenen Orten wie München, Stuttgart, Alicante und Krakau aus zusammenarbeiteten.

EN: Performance artworks conceived for the seminar on Neuroarchitecture and Performance Art conducted by Dr. Maria da Piedade Ferreira MSc, Faculty of Architecture, Technical University of Munich with the support of the TUM Women’s Representative teaching assignment. The performance was developed during the COVID-19 restrictions through remote collaboration and involved participants working together from different locations such as Munich, Stuttgart, Alicante and Krakow.

IT: Il progetto consiste nella sopraelevazione di un edificio esistente a Max-Weber-Platz, a Monaco di Baviera. L’intervento é un piano aggiunto di circa 250 mq. In questo progetto mi sono principalmente occupato di realizzare gli esecutivi e di assistere in cantiere. Ho lavorato nella fase 5 dai Rohbauarbeiten fino ai Trockenbauarbeiten. DE: Das Projekt besteht aus der Aufstockung eines bestehenden Gebäudes am Max-Weber-Platz in München. Der Eingriff ist eine zusätzliche Etage von ca. 250 qm. Bei diesem Projekt war ich hauptsächlich für die Ausführungsplanung und die Betreuung der Baustelle zuständig. Ich habe in der LPH 5 von Rohbauarbeiten bis Trockenbauarbeiten gearbeitet. EN: The project consists of the addition of a floor to an existing building at Max-Weber-Platz in Munich. The intervention consists r of approx. 250 sqm. In this project, I was mainly responsible for the execution planning and the supervision of the construction site. I worked in LPH 5 from structural work to drywall work.

IT: Keep it simple. Due edifici residenziali (quasi) identici in cemento a vista si stanno costruendo sul terreno ripido della collina con vista sul foresta di pini. La casa residenziale a due piani affascina con una semplice spazialità. In questo progetto mi sono occupato principalmente degli elaborati grafici, sia elaborati bidimensionali sia viste di interno. DE: Halten Sie es einfach. Zwei (fast) identische Wohngebäude in Sichtbeton werden an dem steilen Hang über dem Kiefernwald. Das zweigeschossige Wohnhaus besticht durch eine einfache Räumlichkeit. Bei diesem Projekt war ich hauptsächlich für die grafische Gestaltung verantwortlich, sowohl für zweidimensionale Zeichnungen als auch für Innenansichten. EN: Keep it simple.
