Pomie Clothing Co. Logo, Instagram, and Instore Signage

Overview

Pomie Clothing Co. is a fictional boutique centered around diversity and size inclusion. The mission of this company is to redefine the societal construct of “size.

Design Challenge

Most fashion retailers utilize simple and modern logos. However, Pomie Clothing Co. uses an organic illustration and typeface to set itself apart. Teen through young adult females are the target audience for the products sold by this business. Pomie Clothing Co. also carries plus size options allowing any size women to be part of the target audience. With a focus on inclusion and diversity Pomie Clothing Co. caters to a larger audience than the typical clothing store.

Design Solution

The goal for this project is utilizing illustrative and bright branding to set Pomie Clothing Co. apart from its competition while still appealing to the target audience. The organic illustration fights the stereotypical fashion logo and really sets this company apart. The illustration is used to respresent the target audience by showing an organic form with different size and color seeds. Paired with the organic illustration is an organic customized typeface to push the message that imperfection is beauty. The pink and red coloring stays bold and feminine to draw in the target audience. The imagery paired with Pomie Clothing Co. stays light and fun to send the message that fashion is fun, no matter your size or race. All photos and styling by me.

Animal Testing Campaign Ads, Poster, T-shirt, and Inveractive Street Sign

Overview

Cruelty Free International is a nonprofit organization working to end animal testing worldwide.

Design Challenge

The target audience for this campaign is consumers within the beauty industry who are passionate about animal welfare and social issues. This consumer tends to be female and between the ages 14-70. Cruelty free products matter to this demographic because they are aware of social issues and interested in the welfare of animals within the industry. The approach to this campaign is to maintain a feminine look while playing up the clinical and harsh reality of animal testing.

Design Solution

The final design solution highlights the cruel reality of animal testing while keeping a clean and simlple design. The Sans Serif typeface is used to draw in the target demographic with bold lettering while keeping a feminine look. This is paired with the imagery of animals in makeup mirrors to bring the reality of animal testing to the consumer in a minimally graphic way.

This interactive sign lets users click on different makeup items and then exposes the viewer to an animal testing survivor and their story. This works to humanize the animals and directly relate them to products consumers use daily.
