Calendars

• Everyone needs a little Love. Express your appreciation by delivering love notes, Roses, or treats to your resident’s doors. A card making station, or gift station is a simple set up.

• Basic Supplies needed: Flowers, candy, or generic Valentine’s day cards.

• Set up a sharing table outside your leasing office, or create a one day event to do so.

• Expected costs: $1.50 per gift/item. You can purchase floral sleeves HERE

Contact Joeg@weidner.com for assistance planning this event. Every community has a unique demographic and setting up the appropriate event type is important. There’s a variety of low cost options to produce an effective event of this type.

Spotlight Event of the Month

• You can’t pass up on a ready made theme. It’s one of the most anticipated events in the US. Coordinate a watch party, or Super Bowl Themed activity such as a squares game.

• Basic Supplies: Food and beverage. Prizes for any contests hosted.

• February 12th for gatherings. February 11th is cut off for squares, or other Superbowl themed games.

• Approximate Costs: $200 per 50 people.

Superbowl is on a Sunday so in person gatherings may not be ideal. However, coordinating a watch party off-site, or in common space can still be easy to set up. Please contact Joeg@weidner.com for assistance planning the appropriate event, or for Superbowl themed game ideas.

• Our pets are everything and deserve to be pampered! This event is a great way to introduce pet owners to one another and show residents how much we love our furry friends. Think treats and toys!

• Basic Supplies needed: Pet treats and toys.

• A weekday evening or weekend afternoon will generate the most traffic

• Approximate cost: $100 for substantial pet treats and pet toys.

Use this event to set up a partnership with a local pet store or pet service facility. Most pet companies will be willing to donate supplies in exchange for free advertising. Contact joeg@weidner.com if you need assistance setting up a local partnership.

All pets love toys

• Meant as another fitness related activity to promote healthy behaviors. Including this grab and go activity outside your fitness center, or creating an in person event is very easy to do.

• Basic Supplies needed: healthy snacks, granola, yogurt, and fresh fruits.

• A once a week set up, or Saturday Morning works best.

• Estimated cost: $75 per set up.

Presentation is key to this set up. Most people don’t get excited about eating healthy, but set up a beautiful display and the perception changes. This is simple to set up and doesn’t cost much to host. It’s a great way to build rapport with residents who stop by.

• Chili is a great winter dish. Provide a vegan option and let the Chili be the star. This simple grab and go, or in person event will bring people in. Did you have a Chili Contest? Use the winning recipe to add a personal touch to this event.

• Basic Supplies needed: A couple Chili options, assortment of toppings, and beverages.

• A weekday evening is ideal for this in person gathering, or grab and go activity.

• Estimated costs: $250 per 50 people.

The key to a successful Chili Bar is a great tasting Chili, and a variety of options. By letting residents customize their servings, everyone will go home full and happy. Try and manage a serving station so residents can say thank you and you can manage any potential mess.

• February typically signifies the end of Winter. Any opportunity to warm up is always appreciated. Set up a nice spread of options and let the food do the work.

• Basic Supplies needed: Variety of soups, serving supplies, bread or crackers, and beverages.

• Any Thursday evening should draw a crowd. Avoid weekends.

• Cost for Event: $200 per 50 people. Shop for soups at local restaurants or grocers.

Any day works, but ideally a Thursday will work best for participation purposes. Be sure to have several options, and some nice throw blankets to decorat are a great touch. Set up a service station and residents will shower you with Thank You’s.

• A Breakfast on the go, serving station, or gathering works for this event. Provide the basics, and set up a nice display. Splurge on an assortment of muffin options to satisfy everyone’s taste.

• Basic Supplies needed: Muffins, beverages, and alternative breakfast snacks.

• Any morning will draw a crowd, but best to be hosted on a Saturday morning.

• Estimated event cost - $2 to $4 per serving based on variety and quality of items provided. Shop locally for best quality products.

Residents will only come down for donuts so much. By adding this subtle change to that event, residents will feel this is a special activity and enjoy your efforts. The initial display will play a big part in your attendance. The food brings them to the door, the display invites them in....sound familar?

• This is a fun, and interactive resident event. More suited for kids as an in person gathering. Allow residents to partake in a specific day event, or submit photos of their funniest hats as a content generator.

• Supplies needed: construction paper, markers/ crayons, tape, and other crafting materials.

• Ideal for an in person event for properties with lots of kids. Use as a content generator or themed adult gathering as well. Any evening is approprtiate.

• Cost of supplies: $40 for arts and crafting supplies. Light snacks recommended $60.

People enjoy being creative and kids love this activity. Use this event to generate content for your bulletin board. Create a design station w/ art supplies and let your residents get creative. Take lots of pictures and contact joeg@weidner.com for assistance planning your event.

• Work with local charities to identify opportunities for medical professionals to come to your community and set up a blood drive. The Red Cross is always willing to set up donation drives.

• Supplies needed: Parking space and promotion.

• Schedule for a month long campaign with your donor day to acknowledge participants or host a raffle.

• Cost of supplies: Free to host, Raffle prize recommended.

This is a great event to keep your residents engaged by simply providing an opportunity for charitable works. Coordinate with local PD, Fire, or other local officials to generate brand recognition with your neighbors. It’s a good cause and residents will appreciate the effort.

• Every Pet Friendly Community should have a Pet of the Month. Collect pet details quarterly. Choose at random

• Event Supplies: pet treats, prizes, or discounts established with local pet groomers, food suppliers, dog walkers,

• People LOVE their pets and love showering them with treats. You can set this up for several months in advance.

• Activity Costs: FREE

Pet of the Month is the best and easiest activity you can maintain monthly. Take a day and find a local pet store, groomer, or pet service location and work out a promotional partnership. Contact Joeg@ weidner.com for assistance.
