Kasumiga Pearls

One of the worlds rarest pearl variants is the result of a partnership between BELPEARL and the legendary freshwater pearl farmer, Harue Sakai, Kasumiga pearls are exclusively reserved for the BELPEARL company. The unique mussel that produces these naturally pink pearls, can produce pearls that range from approximately 9mm to 16+ mm in size. Established in the early 1990's the BELPEARL farm in Kasumiga-ura (North East of Tokyo, Japan) is the origin and birthplace of the pink pearls known as Kasumiga pearls. The cultivation method of this rare freshwater pearl variant is the result of years of effort by Mr. H. Sakai, a legendary figure in Japanese pearl farming. Production is limited and highly regulated. Kasumiga pearls can only be produced in Kasumiga-ura, Japan.
