DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROJECT The project’s urban development will have as a goal the rehousing of the people. Therefore, the street network and a prefabricated construction will be an essential part for it.From the roads and the different focus of activity (squares), which establish the base of the urban development, a platform is created to settle the housing blocks. We proceed to build collective housing blocks, paired with different orientations and heights considering the environment. This high-density action frees land for leisure activities and green areas for the community.

THE DWELLING The blocks are made up of modules with different functions-(living, sleeping, patio), capable of housing a great variety of families. Each of these modules has an equipped closet with the facilities and furnitures needed. In order to respect the local way of life and one to protect the habitat from the heat, there are some patio modiules (public-private space) and small private terraces.

ANIMAL LAB-M30
In a hostile environment in the outskirts of Madrid, surrounded by highways, the Veterinary and Animal Research of the M-30 is raised. In order to be isolated from the noise and traffic, the proposal is turned toward the interior of the plot, where the research and social activities will take place. In the outside, different spaces for the animals are designed to manage the best conditions for each kind of animal. [P7] Unidad D. Gazapo E.T.S.A.M autumn 2012

The old central slaughterhouse in Madrid has been transformed into a cultural and design focus in Madrid. In one of the old buildings, it is proposed to create a multifunctional space, and an underground parking.

[ACADEMIC PROJECTS] María José Hernández González To create these spaces, the foundations will be lowered and a new deck will be created with parallel openings to let the light in. This is possible with a system of paired trusses, which are supported in new metallic pillars. It is important to maintain the existing brick walls, as they are protected.

CALPE DIEM
Competition for the revitalization of the historic center of Calpe, Spain. In this turistic village in the seaside, an economical, social and environmental transformation is needed. Through a space for dialogue and interchange, managed by the town hall, citizens will get in touch. Both owners of spaces or dwellings and people requesting these spaces see their demands satisfied. Different subjects were taken into account to make this proposal: locals’s opinion, urban voids, local architecture, economic requests..etc Equipo: MªJosé Hernández González Laura Martínez Alonso Marta de las Heras Martinez Laura Ordoñez Fernández Lucía Corral Partearroyo Héctor Suárez Gómez Marta Juliana Abril Antón Pérez Astray September 2013

ANALISIS After a study of the urban fabric, places of opportunity (lprivate and public spaces) are detected. In this plan, we suggest different situations that could occur in Calpe. Thanks to labor camps and public and private fiundng, the buildings will be rehabilitated. In order to do it, they are classified according to their state of disrepair and rthe equirements for implementing various activities
