NSW winner shares $20m Powerball win July 11, 2008 04:51pm By Maria Tan The search is on for the lucky person who bought a Powerball ticket from a NSW newsagency then won a third share of Thursday night's $20 million Powerball jackpot. NSW Lotteries has been unable to inform the ticket holder of his or her $6.6 million windfall as the winner is unregistered. The winning ticket was purchased from the North Haven Newsagency on the NSW Central Coast. Newsagency owner Alan Xia said he's eagerly awaiting the first division prize winner's return. "It's killing me that they're not a member of Players Club. I hope the winner brings their ticket in for me to check today," Mr Xia said. "I'm known as the Lotto man, now I'm the Powerball man as well. I've been saying for a while whoever lands the big one owes me a ginger beer for selling them the winning ticket." Two other winners, from Victoria and Queensland, split the $20 million with the NSW winner - each sharing exactly $6,666,666.67 in prize money. Thursday night's winning numbers were 3, 18, 30, 34, and 16, with the all-important Powerball number 15. © 2008 AAP Brought to you by
