ABOUT ME
my name is Maria Coppolino I moved to Syracuse some years ago in order to follow my passion for architecture and there I studied and graduated cum laude in July 2008. The subject of my degree thesis concerning the delicate equilibrium between natural environment, represented by nature reserve, and that one created by humans, represented by built up areas, where production and leisure time rule the roost. The subject has allowed me to investigate the contradictions of contemporary man and to elaborate a new way of living the landscape (Thesis Director: Prof. Arch.Giuseppe Dato). I spent intensely my years at university, without limiting myself to the academic activities only; I was a member of sedicinoni group a student organization which deals with the promotion of cultural events. I was involved in the organization of shows, film shows, performances, workshops together with the above mentioned group and in collaboration with the gallery of contemporary art in Syracuse, with the aim of investigating the complex link between art and architecture and I developed excellent organizational and managerial competences. I attended to some conferences where I knew the opinion about the architecture of Stefano Boeri, Odile Decq, Giorgio Grassi, M. Giuseppina Grasso Cannizzo, Emanuel Mateus, Bernardo Secchi, Paolo Soleri and Livio Vacchini. I have Advanced information technology knowledge and skills; in particular I am good at using scanners, printers, plotters, video projectors, digital cameras. Good knowledge of software such AutoCad, ArchiCad, Photoshops, Illustrator, InDesign, Office, Corel Draw.
