CONGRATULATIONS

you said yes.

I am so happy that you’ve found “your person”! I don’t know about you, but I am a strong believer in fate. I am so inspired by the thought that everything that has lead you to this moment in time has happened for a reason. Throughout the planning process, make sure to take a step back when you need to and remind yourself of the true meaning behind the details--that you have met your soul mate and are making a promise to travel through this life together. All the other stuff--the flowers, the venue, the cake--that’s all secondary. What matters is that your wedding day is a time for you to celebrate and be celebrated by those around you who love you so, so much. On the day of the wedding, go with the flow and be present. Know that no matter what, at the end of the night, you are married to your best friend! That in itself is a true blessing.

welcome to your beginning...

WELCOME I couldn’t be happier for you! I live to make your special day timeless — capturing your most precious memories so they can live on for generations to come. I am so excited to get to know you! I can’t wait to learn all about you and the love story you have written together. I use your background as inspiration to capture images that truely represent your unique love. Thank you for considering me — I couldn’t be more honored to step into your world and capture one of the most emotional and irreplaceable days of your life.

hi, i’m Maria My heart longs for nothing more than to retell fleeting moments that go unnoticed; the small truths that make up something words and memories fail to recall. Give me rawness, give me laughter, give me grit. It’s about telling a story that isn’t afraid of showing depth and emotion. It’s about free-spirited, unadulterated love. It’s about truth. Your soul, exactly as it is. You may see me shed some tears at your wedding--they’re real. I just can’t help it. I am so moved and inspired by love and connection between two souls. This is the energy that fuels my work and my “why”. I am a love-obsessed storyteller and I wouldn’t change it for the world. xoxo M

Maria, I am currently writing you this in tears... Because we got our wedding photos back and they are literally the

MOST incredible photos I have ever seen in my life. I still can’t believe that they are our wedding photos. I catch myself staring at them all day every day, and I always find new favorites every time I look. You are truly an amazingly talented individual and were a blessing on our wedding day. You captured creative details and people’s emotions through beautiful photos. They tell such a wonderful story and take me right back to that magical day every single time. We consider ourselves extremely blessed. Not only did we get the most amazing wedding pictures, I also gained a great friend! We love you Maria, you are the best! Never stop following your dreams. We are excited to see what the future has in store for us, and we can’t wait for you to capture many more of our memories as a family!

With love,

Courtney & Matthew 4 | Maria Crisafulli Photography

Maria was amazing from the start! We connected right away, it felt like it was meant to be! Our pictures are what dreams are made of. I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out! I love the way she sees things and people and moments. I love the intimacy and the feeling her pictures have. They tell a story and make you feel something special. Thank you for telling our story so beautifully. We couldn’t be happier.

WHAT TO EXPECT I believe in little moments. Those actually turn out to be the “big moments” of the day. My approach to photographing is a little non-tradtional and a lot of fun. You can expect to be laughing, crying, dancing, and everything in between. I give you and your other half a mixture of lighthearted and romantic prompts to create breautiful, authentic moments.

The day of the wedding, I want you to be able to relax. I work with you and your wedding coordinator to create a perfect timeline for the day, handle any last minute adjustments to the schedule, and help you remain in the moment. My attention is all on you! I’m your photographer, but also often a dress-bustler, a mini seamstress, a tissue-hander, and someone to count on if something goes awry.

FAQ’S

HOW FAR SHOULD WE BOOK IN ADVANCE? The sooner the better in reserving the weekend you have selected. Ideally, at least 9-12

months in advance. DO YOU SHOOT WITH A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER? Yes! A second shooter can be added to any wedding package.

DO YOU DELIVER EVERY IMAGE YOU CAPTURE? No, simply because not every picture tells the story of the day. I may have 10-20 shots of the same thing as part of the creative process. I reserve the right to only deliver the images that best represent you as well as my photographic style. If there is an image that you were specifically looking for though, and did not receive, I would gladly work with you to get the details and deliver particular images of sentimental value!

WHEN WILL WE SEE THE WEDDING PHOTOS? A sneak peek will be given 1 week after your wedding. The remainder of your gallery will take between 1-2 months to be delivered. I choose to take the time to perfect your images instead of rushing through them. I spend countless hours on post processing for every wedding.

MAKING A WEDDING DAY TIMELINE Wedding timelines are a guideline. Like anything, don’t let your desire to be organized overwhelm the natural flow of the day. Rather, plan for the best and allow room for variations when needed. Guarantee on having some minor unforeseen changes so that it doesn’t take you by surprise when it happens. Most ceremonies last approximately 30 minutes. Factor in the readings, music, vows, rituals, etc. to get an estimate. Build your timeline backward and forward from the main event. Allow time for bridal party and family portraits before the wedding ceremony if at all possible. It’s best to have those pictures done prior to ensure lots of time after the ceremony for bride and groom portraits durring golden hour--this is where the photo magic happens!

WEDDING DAY TIPS 1. Fueling up can be one of the last things on your mind. Pack care packages for you and each of your bridemaids with snacks and water to nibble on throughout the day.

2. Give yourself plenty of time to get ready. When your hairstylist arrives, have her start on the bridesmaids first. That way, you can get your makeup done before your hair, and I can get shots of you getting ready. This is also the time that I will get detail shots of the shoes, gown, and sentimental pieces.

3. I am a huge fan of unplugged wedding ceremonies. Guests leaning into the aisles to take photographs of their own can really ruin an otherwise perfect shot!

4. Great pictures take a good amount of time. If you would like an off-location photoshoot with the bridal party and/or immediate family members, plan on allotting 1-2 hours and taking travel time into account.

5. I am an advocate for first look photographs! This way you can take your time as a couple and fit your bridal party and family pictures in before the ceremony. Your wedding is a once in a lifetime event...allow yourself to enjoy and relax by having key parts photographed sooner rather than later!

6. Encourage your family to be punctual to keep the day flowing well. If you plan to take wedding party pictures off site, look for a place to do family pictures on the grounds of the wedding venue to reduce the risk family members getting lost in the mix!

7. If you have children attending your wedding who will be in pictures, plan to take their pictures first so that they are happy and alert. The same goes for elderly guests who may not be able to stand for long periods of time. Put these guests first so that they can move on and relax. 10 | Maria Crisafulli Photography

8. Not having a first look? Allow at least 1 hour post-ceremony for photos of you and your partner. If you did have a first look, you’ll still want at least 30 minutes post-ceremony for just the two of you.

9. Bring little details along to be photographed! This includes wedding invitations and programs, perfume, jewelry, and perhaps something borrowed and something blue.

10. Make sure you and your significant other have special moments with your parents and take pictures with each one individually. It’s easy to forget in all the joyful moments that this can be an emotional day for them as well.

11. And finally, don’t sweat the small stuff! Remember that your wedding day only happens once in a lifetime. Take everything in while you can and emerse yourself in the love and emotion of the day. The best photographs come from couples who are able to cherish the day and enjoy themselves.
