DESIGN STUDIO. COMMUNICATION.
The selected site of the project is the Clumber park in Nottinghamshire, managed by the National Trust. Situated on Hardwick village, the building responds to its context and trying to generate a form that blends into its landscape. The aim is to redesign the building and capture the warmth of the old structure and atmosphere. Clumber park is missing a focal point developing the overall visitors experience and its functions so it is a place to go’ for the next 50 years. National trust wants to create a successful visitors' venue pleasant for Millennials and younger generations to come. This project aims to introduce an identity to the Clumber park through the means of a creative centre. A centre which combines light industry with indoor and outdoor public spaces to create a mixed-use site. The concept of the of the project is to create a perfume production space to engage people with the making process.

The focus to create a perfumery stems from early explorations of the various flowers that are growing throughout the park. This project is concerned with investigating the idea of using the flowers grown in the park as a main element in trying to achieve a truthful and engaging architecture. The flowers are collected and brought in the building to be used in the perfume production.
The aim of the project is the creation of a perfume from raw material once collected from the site to the final product. The concept is based on the notes of a perfume. They are the descriptors of scents that can be sensed upon the application of the perfume. Notes are separated into three classes. So these classes are used in the design process to develop a programme. The layout is separated into three parts. 1. Top notes - The first impression 2. Middle notes - ''Heart'' of the building 3. Base notes - Final impression 15

Perfume production 1. Before the manufacturing process begins, the initial ingredients must be brought to the manufacturing centre. 2. Natural ingredients must have their oils extracted in order to create a perfume. Essential oil extraction can be done several ways. 3. Once all the ingredients have been chosen, they need to be blended together according to a formula. 4. Aging the perfume. 5. Quality controls. 6. Bottling and packaging.
