Once upon a time in a small town with 2 suns, called Epintei, some dwarves lived there and one of them had the name “Kapelaras ( = the man with the big hat ). These dwarves were working for a Giant who forced them to clean his yard and produce games that he was selling for money.

This Giant used to live in a palace and he was wearing a big gold crown with diamonts and emeralds. He was very fat, big and rich and he loved to drink everyday 2 glasses of cold coffee and eating a big watermelon. He was eating everyones food, as a result dwarves were poor and hungry.

The Giant was always angry. He was furious when some dwarves were singing happily while they were cleaning his yard, or when some of them didn’t work properly. When he was mad he used to grab one dwarf and eat him. Kapelaras was dissapointed, horrified and afraid for his life.

He couldn’t stand this situation anymore. He would have to run away to save his life. After all, he had nothing to lose. He would find another country where he could live peacefully. And who knows? He might find happiness there. Kapelaras told his plan to the other dwarves and they all decided to escape together.

Each one of them chose a valuable object to take with him. Some of them took their favourite toy and others selected a clothing item. Kapelaras didn’t take anything, except for his hat. When the night came, while the Giant was asleep and snoring loudly, the dwarfs left trying not to make any noise.

They walked and walked‌ They climbed mountains, walked along rivers and through forests. They were very tired because they had to walk and carry their belongings along, so they began leaving them behind. Kapelaras was picking some fruit and nuts along the way in his hat and gave them to the dwarves to help them gather strength.

We will make a boat! Let’s gather some wood.

Five nights and ten days passed, until they reached a beach. They decided to sail across the sea and reach the shore opposite. The farther, the better. The Giant wouldn’t be able to find them. But how? Kapelaras had an idea. Wood was gathered and the boat was made. They were ready for the sea voyage now. Kapelaras hid something in his hat, he placed his hat on his head and got on the boat.

Just when they were ready to go, one of the dwarves observed something big on the beach few meters away. From time to time, a strange sound, like a lamentation came from there. Kapelaras and the other dwarves descended from the boat and walked to see what's there. That giant was nothing but a large whale, wounded by a harpoon. So, they decided to help the whale. Some of the dwarves cut slowly around the wound, the others pulled the harpoon and took it off. Kapelaras removed from his hat a medicament, some magic dust, wich he threw it over the wound.

Shortly, the wound of the whale was cured and the lamentation stopped. The whale became cheerful seeing herself saved and thanked dwarves for their help. While the whale returned to sea, the dwarves headed on their boat to start the established trip. Happy and with hope to escape for good and all the Giant, they have a nice trip on calm water of the large sea. But, arrived halfway, the dwarves faced with a big problem: in their path appears a boat with pirates who want to attack them. The little boat of dwarves is crushed by ruthless attack of hostile pirates.

Seeing themselves without the boat, the dwarves started to cry. Right then beside them appeared their friend, the whale they saved earlier. She hit the boat of pirates few times with her tail and crushing it. The pirates fell into water, some of them were drowned. After this, the whale climbed the dwarves on her back and continued this way the trip.

Soon the dwarves reach the other shore. Kapelaras notice a mountain with an odd shape, like a lion head. He remember an old legend that his grandfather told him when he was a child, about an hidden city where the dwarves lived in peace and richness. From his magic hat, Kapelaras brought out the object hidden before to go – a map of mysterious town- that he get from his grandfather. Looking on the map, Kapelaras noticed that the mountain was just like the one in front of them.

Kapelaras showed the map to the other dwarves. He told them about the legend that he was told by his grandfather. If they wanted to come to the hidden city, they would have to walk a long way. They would need to overcome a variety of challenges and threats. Their route goes: through the mountain with a lion's head, then through the enchanted forest, then through the desert, then through the land of unpredictable weather, then through the birds land and then through the land of hazardous plants. If they overcome all that, they will come to the hidden city.

The dwarves decided to go. First they went to the mountain with a lion's head. They walked and walked and they finally got to the top. Above the entrance to the mountain (through the lion's mouth) there was a sign saying that entrance is allowed only to those who have a good heart and will feed the lion. All of the dwarves left all their food by the entrance. Most of them gave their last breadcrumbs. The door opened and in no time they entered into the mountain. The tunnel through the mountain was lighted and they passed through easily. When they came out, there was a surprise. Food and drinks for all. They also found the inscription: Welcome all the good-hearted.

Then they went ahead according to plan. Kapelaras led the dwarves into the enchanted forest. The forest was dark and dreadful. The dwarves felt as if the trees were watching them with their mysterious eyes.

Then the trees began to move and stand together and made a fence around the dwarves. The dwarves tried to escape but they failed. Behind the fence they spent a couple of days. They almost gave into despair. Then one of the dwarf began to sing. He sang a song about love, family, freedom and friendship. The other dwarves started to sing with him. So‌ A miracle began. The trees started to change. They opened the gateway and dwarves found their way through the enchanted forest. The enchanted trees thanked the dwarves for the miraculous song. In return they gave dwarves the object which they are going to need on their journey to come. Kapelaras put this magical object in his hat.

Finally, the dwarves came into the desert. It was very hot and the dwarves had nothing left to eat and drink soon. Exhausted, they stopped for a break and they just wanted to have water. Suddenly they heard a loud wail. With their last strength they went in search. Then they saw a camel. It was in great pain. A bleeding wound gaped in the leg. Therefore, it could not follow its caravan. Kapelaras thought for a while. He took the magic object out of his hat and touched the wound. Immediately the leg was healed. Thankfully the dwarves ascended the camel and they rode to the next oasis. There was plenty of water and fresh fruit.

After a few days the dwarves moved on. They came to the land of storms. The whole country was flooded by the heavy rain and the dwarves didn`t know how to get ahead. Then they heard a loud sobbing and weeping. The dwarves found a small child. It pointed to a house roof, sticking out of the water. It kept saying: "My father, my mother." The dwarves built a raft from a driftwood. They rowed towards the flooded house and rescued the child`s parents. When the parents joyfully embraced her child, the water seeped into the earth and a green lawn appeared.

The dwarves discovered a huge, gray wolf on the landing pad. He wanted here make fat booty. The dwarves were afraid of the beast, too and they wanted to flee. Kapelaras pulled out of his hat the magical object. „Please help me to defeat the wolf“, he begged. Suddenly the magical object transformed into a magic sword and a shield. A fierce battle between the wolf and Kapelaras took place. Finally, the wolf fled and the birds were able to land. Kapelaras magic sword and shield were transformed again into the magical object. The grateful birds brought the dwarves into the land of hazardous plants.

When they arrived in the land of hazardous plants they met the dog Rebbi and the cat Gulbrandur. Rebbi and Gulbrandur were very good friends and told them how it was possible to escape from the land of hazardous plants. Kapelaras took again the magical object from his hat and transformed it in to a skunk, because the trees were allergic to skunks, but nothing happened. Then the skunk ate a lot of rotten eggs and ,,puffffff,,. Slowly the trees fainted and the hidden city appeared.

When they saw the hidden city they stopped and thought what they should do. ,,We shall go and see what we find,, said Kapelaras. Upon arriving in the city the dwarves found a few emty houses. The dwarves and the residents became very good friends and they learned a lot about each other. Kapelaras was very intelligent and helpful. When the dwarves had lived in the hidden city for two years they had learned the hidden cities language which was a little bit difficult. Five years later the people chose Kapelaras as a mayor and everybody loved him. They decided to rename the city Child-right-oasis and welcomed everybody that was ready to live in PEACE and HARMONY !
