María José Váscones Pita, architect and interior designer from Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil and Elisava (Barcelona). Her experience comes from the design and execution of high-end residential projects, retail design, interior design, and urban planning.

The home by principle is evolutionary, and adapts to new conditions.

Doméstico refers to a habitable artifact that allows the condensing of everyday activities into one organizing element that transforms easily, and does not sacrifice comfort.

The Dodo Van is a design practice focused on limitations, transformation and spatiality. The project brought with it a space conditioned by a 1993 Chevy Van that was intended to become a mobile home for the users. The architectural result responds to the resolution of the needs of a young couple, who, through participatory work with local communities, intend to explore new places, taking the essential with them.

The main purpose of the project was to design a completely flexible space for the new requirements the client presented, which led to the study of its possible spatial occupation as a starting point.
