FRANCISCO DELGADO III
The pasture is quiet well-rounded this year, with a host of students ranging from Freshmen to Postgraduates, and from outstanding athletes to brilliant thinkers. Heading this year’s list is Tom “Dizzy” O’Hearn who peacefully and understandingly, sets the tone of discipline as Assistant Prefect. His roommate, Mike Grosso, unfortunately found himself to be a scandalizer. With these two could be added Jim Hennessey, another football star and I.C.C. aspirant. Jim’s roommate is Pete Dwyer who really, actually, is a freshman! Y’all hear about Dan O’Connell too, who’s roommate is none less than Chis Hayes, the two of which operate Club 44, full carpeted and romantically set in suave decor, located just across the hall from Herb Goddard’s pad, a similar décor set in a blues pattern. Bob Pratt and Tom Tella converted a former courtroom into a Jazz hall, set in a surrounding of surf and dragsters. Herb’s roommate, Manuel Creixell, looks on, wide-eyed at these unreal Americans. Mike Sivik, another surf fiend, is likely to hang ten on your desk if it looks good enough. We have an air of leadership in John Wojewudski, who is president of the Junior Class, while Jim Pyle feels lost this year with the Jungle boys off at college. His roommate, Steve Wohlke, apparently didn’t get that 442. Gary “Whitey” Blanchard will light up for you when you say “Logic”. Rooming with Gary is Franco DelGado from the Philippines, who lends a cultural aura to the form with his original canvas and classical guitar. Reimundo Barros, from the island of Aruba, has to be given quite a bit of credit for his scholastic acheivement this year. He unfortunately got stuck with a freshman, Tim Stevens, but Tim has proven to be a lively sheep, despite his lowly status. Bob Sarubbi, noted for his country guitar, is rooming with a near-perfect double of his old roommate (Downet), John “Jack’o” McGrath, the king of the wild surf. Of course, we owe a successful year in the dorm to none other than Father Sheputa, who meticulously, guided us in the ways of discipline and mortality.
