Introduction

In this project we Will talk about the present continuous, one of the important tenseWhenwespeakenglish.

We use the present continuous daily to communícate and describe actions, we will also know its importante and its diferenterulesthatmakeitup.

Objective

• Study the correct use of the present continuous tense to obtain fluency in all conversation.

• Indentify the different ways of congations by comparing the differences that exist between the others tenses.

What is The present continuous tense

The present continuous or present progressive is one of the tenses of the present used in English, the present simple and present perfect all of them can be used both in the indicative and in the subjunctive.

The present continuous refers to situations or actions that are being carried out at the moment and learning the tense of the verbs. It also serves to be fluent in all expressions

Use of present continuous tense

Explains the action that happen at the samemomentin whichitisdescribed.

The present continuous is very simple. + am/are/is (verb to be). + verb ending in -ing as we see, the auxiliary verb since it changes the main verb.

This verb form will always need auxiliary or support verbs depending on the verb tense that we are forming gerunds can be the subject or the object of a sentence can also be the object of a prepositions.

Rules of the present continuous Rule 1.

When the verb has a syllable or whose accent falls on the last syllable and ends in a consonant. the latter are usually duplicated.

All verbs ending in an –e that is not pronounced must be replaced with ing.

Exceptions

There are some very particular verbs that do not conjugated with the Present continuous and This know as “stative verbs”.

Amont those are:

Emotional state that would be the verb. Believe, Dislike, Doubt, Imagine

Also as sensations which are: Appear, Hear, See, Smell, Sound.

There are also communication verb that are: agree, astonish, Deny, impress, Mean.

Also Others state that are: Be, Belong, concern, Counted.

It is of great importance to take into account the structure of the sentences.

Used in the present continuous tense and its use in the English language, since this does not allows us to understand what is It used for and how It is formed. In the same way, It is essential to Take into account the grammar rule and some exceptions.

Recomendation

• It necessary to study the tenes since This allows us to expresas the different moments of each action.

• Knowing the different tenses allows us to apply ir correctly in a sentence and there fore makes It easier for the receiver to figure out the moment of an action.

• When formulating a question in an interrogativa way It is necessary to place a question mark at the end of the sentence.

• We hace to be careful with soles verbs since some of the hace more that one meaning and depending on the context, It some cases the continuous for can be usted bit not in others.

Difference betwen present simple and present continuous

The present simple as well as the present continuous is used for actions that occur in the present.

The simple present is used to describe daily eventos or to narrate current events.

On the others hand the present continuous is used for temporary events or to write wha happens al the momento in which It opens.
