Fitness Class Descriptions Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow Yoga: Vinyasa means “breath synchronized movement” This is a 55 minute class and involves a series of poses that are connected by breath and would require some prior experience in order to feel totally comfortable in the class. Body Alignment Yoga/Stretch: This is a 55 minute class that utilizes elements of Yoga stressing breath control as a part of the routine but is not a “Yoga” class in the traditional sense. The Instructor will instead focus more on more traditional stretches but incorporating the breath control and mind body connection you experience in Yoga. Body Flow is a metabolic based training program designed to fire up your muscles and metabolic rate to create a leaner, healthier you. This is not another cross fit or bootcamp class, Body Flow is designed to work multiple muscle groups in an effort to maximize calorie burn and increase the metabolic rate during and after the workout. Body Flow is guaranteed to keep your mind engaged and focused on achieving your fitness goals and getting the most out of every movement, muscle and moment during class. Shake up your fitness routine and get ready for amazing results. Body Sculpt/Weight Training: This is a 25 minute class held six times per week each daily class is identical to the one held on that day. After a brief warm up period your instructor will lead you through a series of exercises targeting specific areas and utilizing dumbbells, barbells and body weight to provide the resistance. The instructor will emphasize form over amount to insure a safe but effective workout. Be prepared to sweat and get a little sore! Core Crazy Abs: In this 50 minute class prepare to bombard your abs, obliques, lower back with core strengthening and toning exercises. A few weeks of this class and it will be time to buy a new belt! Elements of Balance: This class emphasizes the functional integration of core muscles incorporating balance, flexibility, dynamic stretching and body awareness. Gentle Hatha Yoga: Our yoga class will involve a series of slow stretches and poses focused on meditation and breathing. While many members attending this class are very skilled you will be able to participate in this class whether or not you have ever attended a yoga class before. Grace Anatomy Stretching: Known the World over as “Walter’s Stretch Class” Grace Anatomy is so popular that most weeks we have to relocate the class to a larger room. Walter will take the entire hour taking you through stretching, relaxation and meditation techniques to relieve a weeks worth of tension. Let’s Get Kickin Spinning: An advanced 50 minute class to help you knock some of the rust off of your Friday night frolicking at the Lobby Bar. High intensity Sprints and Time Trial Riding. Mountain High Spinning: An advanced 50 minute class where as you can imagine you are going to simulate some hill climbing. Maybe not the Himalayas but a lot more than you typically see in Florida.

Let’s Have a Ball: As the name implies this class is fun and utilizes our stability balls The Stability Ball is likely one of the most versatile pieces of equipment. A stability ball employs the neuromuscular system in a way that no other piece of exercise equipment can. They incorporate the use of multiple muscle systems, neurologically induced muscular responses, normal and natural process of balance and establishing, restoring and maintaining balance. Pilates with Small Apparatus: Centering, control, flow, breath, precision and concentration are the core principles of Pilates, stressing quality of movement over quantity. Your instructor will use a variety of training aids for an outstanding and safe workout. Power Legs/Spinning: This is an advanced class and not recommended for beginner or novice spinning students. This class challenges your cardio vascular fitness and builds strength and power in your legs. Spinning: Top-notch instructors, invigorating music and visualization come together to make spinning class both fun and effective. Regardless of how fit, flexible or coordinated you are, you’ll get a great workout. Simply hop on your bike, set the resistance to the level that’s right for you, and let your instructor guide you through an incredible ride. Expect to burn between 350 – 600 calories depending upon your weight and effort level. Stretch Fusion: A 45 minute combination of Static, Dynamic and Yoga flexibility techniques and routines to provide a totally limber you. Water Fitness: The make up of this class will vary from Instructor to Instructor but the basics will involve a warm up phase, cardio training, toning and strengthening exercises all done in the comfort of a heated pool (typically 84 degrees). Seasonally the Indoor pool will host the majority of classes but as we get in the summer months we will move to the South Tower or Upper Deck Pool. In the event the class is outside please consider applying sunscreen wearing a hat and sunglasses. Zumba® Fitness: When participants see a Zumba class in action, they can’t wait to give it a try. Zumba classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Before participants know it, they’re getting fit and their energy levels are soaring! There’s no other fitness class like a Zumba Fitness-Party. It’s easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating, often building a deep-rooted community among returning students. Zumba® Toning: When it comes to body sculpting, Zumba Toning raises the bar (or rather, the toning stick). It combines targeted body-sculpting exercises and high-energy cardio work with Latin-infused Zumba moves to create a calorie-torching, strengthtraining dance fitness-party. Students learn how to use lightweight, maraca-like Toning Sticks to enhance rhythm and tone all their target zones, including arms, abs, glutes and thighs. Zumba Toning is the perfect way for enthusiasts to sculpt their bodies naturally while having a total blast.
