Hi there!! I’m Marianne and I’m so happy that you have asked me to photograph your wedding. Before we get into the nitty gritty, let me tell you a little bit about myself! My full name is Marianne Lucille Brown. My first name is a combination of my grandmother and my great grandmother’s name. I share my middle name with one of my great aunts. I am a southern born to 2 northerners. I have 2 younger brothers named Bob and Pat. I enjoy watching tv comedies and listening to music. When I’m not taking photos I am basically a suzy homemakerknitting, sewing and baking.
I always want to make sure that the couples who book me know that I am here to help them have an amazing experience for their wedding day. A wedding is probably the most important event in a human’s life. Photography is the only part of your wedding that increases in value in the years following. Your photographer is someone that you and your fiance will be with for 95% of the day. From getting ready until you exit from the reception, the photographer is there catching all of those lasting memories. I want you to know that I will go above and beyond to make sure that your day is perfect. I have been shooting weddings now for three years, along with having a Bachelor’s Degree in Photography, and I have definitely learned a thing or two in how to deal with what could be a stressful situation. I love my job and I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world. No matter how crazy the day may get, everything will turn out and you will have a beautifully photographed wedding. I promise!
My goal as your photographer is to create classic and meaningful images that you will look back on and enjoy for many years to come. I use bright natural light to create warmth and airiness in my photos. I enjoy capturing soft and passionate poses but I also adore catching the fun and happy candid moments too! I want to create a personal relationship with all of my couples because it’s not just photos that I’m giving back to you at the end of the day. It’s memories. It’s happiness. It’s love. I am committed to helping my couples with any and all aspects of their wedding. I want your wedding day to be amazing and for you to have the best day ever! Because if you’re having a fantastic time, it definitely shows in the photos. I understand that having your photo professionally taken is not something that most people do on a normal basis, so it’s ok to feel awkward or weird. If you feel like laughing, do it! I want you to feel comfortable in front of the lens and for you to almost forget that it’s there. Just look at each other and remember that this is going to be the best day of your lives, and the beginning of something beautiful.

The Booking Process and Beyond Whenever you are ready to book with Marianne Lucille Photography, please send me an email with the package and extras that you are looking at booking. This is good information for me to have so I can make sure to give you all the correct paperwork to fill out. The contract is something that you should not feel weird asking questions about. The contract is non-negotiable, however, I can help explain the reasoning behind some of the reasons why I do the things that I do. (There’s nothing too crazy in there. I promise!) Along with the signed contract, I require a non-refundable retainer that is 25% of your package. This retainer fee books your date onto my calendar. You are now part of the Marianne Lucille Photography family and I will not book any other photography jobs on your wedding date. The remainder of the package price is due 14 days (2 weeks) before your wedding date.
After the wedding is over and you’re reminiscing about your amazing day, I will be busy at home backing up all your photos and even editing a few to put up on my facebook (so be on the lookout!). It takes me between 6-8 weeks to finish editing an entire wedding. Throughout that time I will probably post a few on different social media platforms (so make sure you follow me on instagram, facebook and twitter!). Once your photos are done, you will receive an email from me via pixieset with the link to your online gallery and your super secret pin number to access your downloads! You are more than welcome to share the link with family and friends. They are also allowed to order prints from the site. You will have access to these photos for 1 year from your wedding date. After one year, I cannot guarantee that the photos will still be in the gallery, so be sure to back-up your photos! You will also get a print release to print all the photos! Yay!
