01. Trimo Urban Common Space
Project type : Competition Years : 2013 Collaborant : Radovan KrajĹˆak Location : Ljublana - Slovenia Social concept: The project consists of more smaller cubic objects, which appear safe. The small scale helps people to socialize and interact easier. They can choose between various spaces, rooms, people and groups and decide who they want to join. SpatialConcept: The small objects were moved and turned around on the plot to create dif- ferent views and atmospheres. Some open towards the surroundings and nature, others are facing the road. All together they create a simple and clear composition. Construction concept: The object is made from one continuous stripe which is folded and creates different spaces with intimate or public atmosphere according to their position. Program concept: The whole object is flexible, 2 modules are situated next to the road and are used for repairing and recharging of bikes, the other 3 are used more for the interaction between people, recharging of mobile devices and notebooks. Functional concept: People can freely move and decide which path they will take. They are making their own decisions and are not forced to anything. A part of the object are small cubes for sitting which can be moved around freely so people can create new personal spaces. Key worlds: cubic, small scalle, urban,

Scluptural evolution
Object is a superstructure of Academy of Fine Arts and Design building on Kocelovรก street. We divided the obejct into five parts for every participating student. All of the partial projects collaborated. Object is created from cubes with the size of 5,5 meters. Cubes are aranged for best lightning conditions. Cubes are related with primary object by construction. Construction was generated on static influence new objec and other objects.

Interior is movable, walls can be shifted and create a new space. Changing space is functionally dependent according to the changing time. We created spaces with different lighting. We picked the different types of ateliers from the book Manifesto Studio and used them in our project. In this project we used different tools such as Grasshopper plugin for Rhinoceros, Generic optimalization plugin in Galapagos and Karamba 3d to create static models. Work on this project is still in progress.

The main idea of our design wasn’t primary oriented on formal aspect of slovak housing, but on the basic activities, experiences and relations originating in the place where we live.

Closed spaces Master Bedroom
Considering the scale of meanings of this expression and research about what defines or represent slovak lifestyle and culture led us to our final design, which isn’t really finished as well as our cities, streets, families.

Our project is represented by kind of a small urbanism determined by its specific location and requirements, sheltered by the facade. The module based construction and facade covers composition of basic volumes with different functions. Different arrangements of rooms result in a scale of semi-public spaces between them as a form of fluent passing from intimacy of the private room to public space of the living room.

We tested applicating arduino in architecture. Our project was to upgrade last semester project - roof graden, new roof on Department of paint on AFAD. In project were moving senzors which captured moving people. When there were a lot of people on the roof, the roof changes its shape.

This project is a result of cooperation between architects and painters from Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. We solved a problem of one separate building in Kocelova Street in Old town, Bratislava. During the workshop we squat inside the building and work together on projects and ideas for reliving this space. Workshop was finished and one of projects was realized in place. The result is in the picture. Opening door on object kocelova created a new spheric gate, which is a new entrance to the area.

After 1989 era of family houses started in suburbs. 40% of residences in familly houses were built In last year. The suburbs are getting larger every year and in the city center live fewer inhabitants. It means that citizents spend a lot of time commuting to city center to work, school, culture, e.t.c..This situation caused that inhabitants live without equipment in suburbs and a fewer people live in city center. The assigment of diploma project was reinforce the urbanity. Key worlds: city, population density, crowding

I dealt with Bratislava city in my diploma project. Bratislava is unique city with different problems like in other European cities. Number of inhabitants has changed in the last 50 years by 100%. In 1965 51% of citizens lived in family houses. After 1955 building prefabricated panel construction housing started and ended in 1989.

06. Open–House
Project type : Competition Years : 2014 Collaborants : Tomáš Kučera, Tomáš Letenay The main idea of this building was to create connection between two parts of the city. First part represents pulsing street with tramways near the square, and second part is quiet small street with outdoor reading room. Between these two streets there is a height difference of 6 meters. The size of building was determined by the height of old house which was located on site before. Place is situated between two houses. Nowadays the site is free and there is a gap between houses. Our aim was to keep the gap there. We applied the old house’s dimensions for the new one. We lifted the house about 6 meters in order to allow transition through the house.

The facades of house are transparent because they are supposed to show what is going on inside the house. Everyday life and tho movement of the moving parts (such as elevator or curtain can be seen from the street. All interior activies occur in one open space wich is maximalizated for this site. This open space is possible to modificate by moving mobiliar which create stage and auditorium. This changeable mobiliar can create various space for wide range of activities within the building.
