Brewery Buštehrad, Czech Republic
Faculty of architecture, Slovak university of technology 2011 tutor: doc. Ing. arch Jana Gregorova, PhD.
Abstract Complex of former brewery in Bustehrad is part of architectural heritage of pre-industrial era. It has unique location in historical part of rather small town Buštehrad, situated in Czech Republik 30 km north-west from Prague . During centuries, there were few phases of building development of brewery. Core of present building is baroque and was built on the location of previous, probably timber manufacture. Last complex redevelopment was realized at the start of 20th century. Bier was brewed until 1967. Currently is compex abandoned and partly used as a depot. Technology was preserved just in traces, mostly in the malt-house. Part of brewery grounds - hvozd, were the malt used to be dried, is part of national architectural heritage. It is one of first of its kind built in Bohemia. The task is conversion of brewery and its adaptation for dwelling purposes and public facilities. The goal is to create gathering public space, which is missing in town of Buštehrad. Proposal is presering original spatial relationshipn of brewery grounds towards its surrounding. It is divided into semipublic space reachable from small scale square and to semiprivate grouds, from which are loft dwellings accessible. Brewery complex is partly restored to its original semblence from early 20th century. Malt-house is horizontaly divided into pub & restaurant and multipurpuse room in first two floors and into dwellings of loft type in upper stories. In the very functional hearth of former brewery is microbrewery proposed. Production of bier would be sufficient for both restaurant and pension, situated in back part of brewery buildings. The object of ,, hvozd,, is proposed as a small exhibition of a brew process . Lost presense of chimney is reminisced by simple wooden structure.

Masterplan of Pichlesberg areal in Berlin
Sint Lucas Hoogeschool voor Wetenschap und Kunst 2010 tutors: Marc Dujardin, Thomas Ooms, Willy Azou in cooperation with: Elena CasaĹˆ, Hannes Honkanen, Oliver David Krieg, Luis Mucho, Justyna Pietrzykowska
Abstract As the western entrance to the Olympic Park of Berlin, the site has a big importance. With the historical background in mind, this area is supposed to become a new sports and recreational centre with many functions, to create a connection between Pichelsberg train station and the Murellenschlucht and new identity for the whole area. The main connections between the south and the north as well as towards the olympic Park are essentail for the main design area. The current situation is unsatisfyying and lacks of many qualities “ public space, good orientation, accessibility and architectural experiences. Therefore, design proposal is a striking contrast. Accessibility and universal design does not exclude the experience of architecture and space. In fact, a varying topography and changing levels can be even more exciting when designed for the requirements off all people, despite their disabillities. Design proposal melts down the borders between buildings and open space between inside and outside. Whether going to tha Waldbuhne, to one of the sports facilities or having a walk, visitors will always have different experiences of the built and natural enviroment.

Conversion of Donau riverside, Bratislava, Slovakia
Slovak university of technology 2009 tutor: Doc. Ing. arch. Dagmar Kaliskรก
Abstract Despite river in the city centre is nowadays considered to be stunning impulse for further development, riverside of Donau was not developed with overall concept, but partially, within the large scale development projects, ( e.g. : River park, Eurovea ). Main part, with closest binding to historical downtown of Bratislava , is still more edge than part of it. Having in mind linear spatial qualities of riverside, proposal enforced them with four functional lanes - bike , art &˛science lane, pomenade and water lane. In the wider moments of the riverside ,,public living rooms,, are created. They are providing meeting space for various people and opinions in different quality of ambience, either with presence of greenery , stone or water substance. The main goal of proposal is to CONNECT - differently developed parts of the riverside itself, city with water, people in between themselves .
BIKE LINE
connecting parts of Donau cycle lane
art & SCIENCE LINE connecting cultural institutions of national importance
PROMANADE ,,sunday,, walking lane
WATER LANE pedestrian lane with terraces above water, for people to enjoy water as part of public space
location
Donau riverside in the Old town of Bratislava, part in between Old and New Bridge.
situation
public space in attractive part of Old town, located in between two bridges connecting Old town with Petr탑alka, newest city district. . Despite unique location, public space is in some parts degradated and abandoned, not even slightly reminiscing glory of PRESPORK /historical name of Bratislava/ promenade of the early 20th century..
spatial arrangemet in the cross section
proposed function area is supposed to gain old glory, be promenade belonging to riverside in the city centre, create connetion to water, identity of area, act not as an edge of historical downtown but as fully developed public space reaching also left riverside of Donau and integrating it into the city.
artsubway as a connection of the National Gallery with riverside
approach using dynamic/ linear/ and static / spatial / qualities of riverside in the form of functional lanes running along riverside and public living rooms in the wider spaces defined by lanes.. Connecting city with water and people in between themselves
