CHRISTMAS IS FOR KIDS Santa Mail Collect an Australia Post Postcard from a local community centre or library and write Santa a letter. Post your letter via a Santa Mailbox, located at the Footscray Town Hall and one of our libraries (Braybrook, Footscray, Maribyrnong, Seddon or West Footscray) before Friday 13 December and receive a response from Santa Claus himself.
Address your letter to: Santa North Pole 9999 Include a 65c stamp and your name and address to receive Santa’s response.
Schools' Christmas Trees We'd like to extend a warm thank you to the teachers and students from all 15 primary schools in the City of Maribyrnong who have contributed to our public decorations this year. Head to the Nicholson St Mall, Footscray and be delighted by their Christmas Tree art.
Colouring Competition Create Your Own Christmas Star Kids under 10 are invited to have a go at colouring our new Christmas stars for a chance to win a Christmas hamper of prizes including: Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre swimming passes, cinema tickets, art supplies and more. Tear out the colouring page opposite or find more templates at Maribyrnong City Libraries, local community centres and participating cafes. Competition dates are 8 November – 14 December with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd drawn on December 23.
