abercrombie family

Message from your CTL Faculty Director Dear EMCC Colleagues and Friends, Welcome to the Fall 2018 semester! From all of us here at your CTL, we hope you had a relaxing and peaceful summer. We’ve been working diligently to give you the best professional development opportunities in the district. Here are a few changes you may notice 

Creating this calendar pamphlet (we had too many events for it to fit on one page!)



In alignment with EMCC’s core value of sustainability, we will be sending the calendar to you virtually. We will also have hard copies available at the CTL and locations around campus (check your local administrative specialist’s desk)



Supplemental monthly calendars throughout the semester with the most current event



Introducing EMC101: The New Employee Experience, open to all new staff this fall (contact ctl@estrellamountain.edu to learn more)



Electronic sign-in for live events using iPads in the CTL



Electronic evaluations emailed to participants after the event



Updates to our website - for example, view or download the semester calendar of events on any device



Nearly all trainings will be documented in the Employee Learn Center (ELC) so you can keep track of workshops you’ve participated in



Monthly “Lunch n’ Learn” events focusing on key issues facing faculty and staff

Also be on the lookout for opportunities to learn more and provide your input on the upcoming skills credentialing programming that the CTL will be offering next year. Indeed, you can sign up for the September Lunch n’ Learn on Wednesday, September 26 from 12:00-1:30 to learn more. Have a great semester, and enjoy the ride! Erik Thor Huntsinger, Ed.D
