Aloe Polyphylla Aloe Polyphylla Bachelor 2:1 (2015-2016) Digital work Teacher Nicolas LEDUC Individual work Observe and analyse a natural element in detail to determine its geometrical characteristics and its growing process. The sof tware Grasshopper allows the creation of a parametric shape using collected data. So a threedimensional model is designed. The parametrization of a plant using the geometric properties requires the development of a scientific look with natural elements which surround us. The Aloe Polyphylla grows according to the Golden Number and the Fibonacci sequence. This mathematical figure has five parameters which can be adjusted in order to draw an evolving figure.

From a fruit or vegetable (here a radish) chosen at random, a geometric, structural, scientific and artistic work is carried out. The intrinsic characteristics of the vegetable /fruits are then determined and represented using the techniques of photography, modelling, drawing, collage ... Af ter this analysis, the scale of study is modified: the vegetable becomes a territory, a place conducive to human set tlement. The design of a habitable space, taking into account the history of the place of evolution and its characteristics, process used in the architectural project, highlights in an abstract way, the dif ferent phases of the architectural project.

On the occasion of the COP 21, the City of Paris disclosed an urban plan which highlighted cycling : «Cycling Plan 2015-2020». The project included a parking area only for bikes and Vélib’ (selfservice bikes - like ‘Boris Bikes’ in London), a repair shop and a restaurant. The site where this project is realised is in an18th arrondissement of Paris, beween rue Ordener and rue Marcadet. The project is conceived as a swaying structure where cyclists can hook their bikes up to the wooden bat ten. This idea gives a multifunctionality to the main structure: cover the parking area and the restaurant, keep bikes and secure all the bikes. The restaurant upstairs, gives light and rest to cyclists or pedestrians.

Folded Structure Folded Structure Bachelor 2:1 (2015-2016) Architectural scale Group work
The inspiration of the origami art as a traditional methode of conceiving a structure is the begining of this work. Give a three-dimensional shape to a sheet of paper, without gluing or cut ting, in a spirit of saving and respect for the material was the main goal of this project. We decided to think of a moving structure which of fers two dif ferent kind of space : the first one is covered space of 400 square centimetres (20x20cm) by 50cm height. The second one as unfolded structure measures 20cm height by 6400 square centimetres (80x80xm). The structural analysis of Gothic cathedrals enabled us to explain how this structure stays stable.

Bachelor 2:2 (2015-2016) Utopic urban scale Teacher Léa MOSCONI Collaborative dual work Paris in 2241, the Anthropocene Era. 2241, Paris is victime of atmospheric pollution and is forced to develop underground (homes, offices, gardens...). Ways of life, rhythms of the day are disrupted, the sun being invisible. In an artificial city thanks to the technology, the inhabitants are forced to live under artificial light and in an artificial nature. The only authentic place could be the natural caves where the celestial light penetrates subtly and where, paradoxically for the inhabitant, would seek the tranquility of a true night, giving praise to shadow.

In this project, the urban context was the central element. Situated in the14th arrondissement of Paris, between the Parc Montsouris and Porte d’OrlÊans, a two hectare surface, this area has been divided into twenty plots distributed among the students. Using the social analysis researched in the field, the Corten Building is conceived as an investment property with art studios and a shared garden.

The process of analytical deconstruction of architecture allows an understanding of the dif ferent parameters which exist in a design project. The study of architectdesigned house with drawings, models, text and photographs teachs how to think of architecture in terms of its dif fering urban, architectural and interior scales.
The Casa Rufo designed by Alberto Campo Baeza, constructed in 2009, is located in Toledo in Spain.

Since its creation, the Saint Vincent de Paul site (in 14th arrondissement of Paris) retains the primary vocation of receiving: orphans, mothers, immigrants, homeless ... Our approach is to maintain this openness of people for each other in an enterprise of respect and dignity. For us, the utopia of an inter-religious site is a way of creating this fraternal environment. (0.0m)

Our protocol lies in the reappropriation of the existing physical underground heritage by refounding the «cult» spaces. Thus the places of worship, the teaching rooms, the library, and the gardens reveal the footprint of the original basements. (-4.0m)

This dug-down world is set against the «levitated» world which we rehabilitate with housing. These are based on the points of foundation of the original buildings, in order to develop a new dialogue between sacred relics and habitat. The site of the Grands Voisins, the park of the Sister of the Visitation, is added, thus making it possible to recreate a welcoming public garden where residents, religious people, passers-by, and tourists can meet. The current project during my internship was the renovation of the Louise-Catherine barge built in reinforced concrete in 1919 and renovated by Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret in 1929 to become the «Floating Refuge» of the Salvation Army. It will be abandoned at the Quai d’Austerlitz in Paris after a few years for safety reasons. The work carried out research into the prerequisites needed to create a corpus of knowledge around this unique barge. La Louise-Catherine
