When we asked fashion’s grande dame Vivienne Westwood to customise one of the charity T-shirt dresses she’s designed with People Tree and Marie Claire to benefit the world’s rainforests, we didn’t know what to expect. The result? Not so much a frock as a wearable work of art. ‘I’ve added a leopard-print cape to the shoulders of the T-shirt,’ she says. In keeping with her fashion philosophy of ‘choosing well and buying less’, you can wear it more than one way. ‘The cape can be detached and made into another top, simply tied around the body. Style your own look!’ The proceeds raised will go to SEHD (the Society for Environment and Human Development), a non-profit organisation dedicated to raising awareness about environmental destruction in Bangladesh, which provides training in organic farming to Garo tribeswomen in the Modhupur forest.
