Chapter One Kwakiutl Food Diet The main thing the Kwakiutl ate was fish. Aside from fish they ate sea mammals. The Kwakiutl also ate deer, birds, and small game. Another thing they ate were seaweed, berries, roots ,clam, and shellfish. They also cooked most of their food.

Clothing Kwakiutl wore different types of clothing. Men wear breech clout. Men and women usually always wore moccasins. Women wore short skirts. The weather effects what they wear. In the winter men and women would wear knee length tunics. In warm weather, men would where nothing but a breech clout. Women would wear short skirts.
