The architect
(Design and building)
After graduating in June 2013, I worked for five years for MOA Architecture, a firm in Marseille. During these years I’v been part of many projects, in the public and private sector alike, on various scales, on all types of buildings. I made sketches, models, SketchUp animations, quantitatives, site planning, technical details, parametric families in REVIT, meeting reports... I was lucky, as project manager, to be able to lead two projects on all phases, from early designs to building : -The office buildings G4 and G5 on the bassins à flot in Bordeaux, France. -The renovation and rehabilitation of the Halle Marie Brizard in the center of Bordeaux, France. These two projects are public venues with strong constraints, notably the Halle Marie Brizard which is a historically relevant and classified building. This helped me acquire a high knowledge of french regulation and of viable technological answers. The relationship management part of a project, especially on the construction site, is my favourite part. Solving the issues arising is like a contest to win, but always with respect for the opponent. I learned a lot in contact with builders, the technical details fascinate me, and so does the endless Excel tables. I’m eager to show you these two fascinating projects and few more. You can discover them in the next pages.
