GUGGENHEIM - HELSINKI Even B. Olstad Pia D. Staven Mari P. Lien

competition Our concept reimagines the iconic spiral of Guggenheim New York, as an outside-inside helix around a central courtyard. The internal spiral ramp allows for easy access to galleries and event spaces on both exhibition levels, whereas the outer spiral ramp connects all three levels of the museum whilst providing access from T채htitorninm채ki Park, over Laivasillankatu through the museum and down to the sculpture park at waterfront level. This intertwining of flows makes the museum an integral part of the city. The offered glimpses of ongoing exhibitions and events heightens interest in the museum, and offers something back to the citizens of Helsinki.

PAVILION - GL. HOLTEGAARD Even BrĂŚnne Olstad Pia Dyrendahl Staven Mari Proll Lien

competition

- honourable mention

The Pavilion is situated in Gl Holtegaards Barokk garden outside of Copenhagen. Our Pavilion interprets upon the baroque ideals. The plan is strictly geometric and restrained; eight triangular pillars are displaced about a center point. Through mirrors on one of the columns three sides, fragments of the baroque garden is sent into the viewer. That impression is mixed with the pavilions growths and semi-transparent surfaces.

THE SMALL AND LARGE TRANSITIONS A N E X PA N S I O N O F S U N D B Y Ø S T E R S C H O O L Final poject - Winter 2013

Based on the master plan for Sundbyøster, in Copenhagen. The intention was to integrate and densify the site with the city. And design an addition to the school Sundbyøster. As a former tram depot the site today is experienced as a dead-end. Rarely used by the neighbours or school. My challenge was to create a new dialogue between the existing buildings and the new. Working with the transition from the public city space , the schoolyard to the more ‘private’ classrooms.

Transition was an important concept that framed my focus for this task. The concept can be seen as the title work in all the different scales: The urban transition - from road to accommodate building. Densifying and reprogramming the site (1:500) structural transition - from schoolyard to classroom, an addition to the School with 8 classrooms and lecture rooms (1:50) The constructional transition - from outside to inside, materials, the threshold, the detail (1:10)

RĂ˜DOVRE TOWNHALL AND LIBRARY BY ARNE JACOBSEN - A TRANSFORMATION OF VIFTEN

Published in Architectural Review Feb issue 2013 The cinema Viften is experienced as a foreign object in Arnes strictly composed world. I therefore propose to transform and expand it. To a building that can be used for theatre, screenings, cultural events and exhibitions. Through studies of Arnes use of colors and proportions. The building is wrapped in a colored fluted glass facade. That varies in a palette of blue, green and turquoise. And opens up towards the square

ARCHITECTURE RESEARCH INSTITUTE - CBD MELBOURNE STUDIO ALTER - 4 YEAR RMIT

We found an existing building/site in the city that we would make our alteration to. I looked at The Royal arcade, and the whole city block with its lane ways, arcades and passages. I created a new walk through the block where the arcade the Walk is now. Not just making a new connection from Bourke st to little Collin st, but also up to the rooftop and across to the royal arcade and Union Ln. Creating an experiential detour in the city were the exhibition spaces are placed along the staircase up to the rooftop park. Where there are cafĂŠs and entrance to the auditorium and architectural research offices. It is about talking your time to explore the city and finding the way that appeals to you. 1. THE CONVERTED SPACE - CARLSBERG BACHELOR PROJECT

Based on the master plan for the intended transformation of the old Carlsberg Brewery in Copenhagen. Our assignment was to design a lobby connecting the hotel, residential tower with the new plaza and planned railway station within an existing building (TAP 1). The scale of the building and the existing structure was very dominant. To challenge it I worked with massive light wells and that attacked the existing building and defined the new movement through the building. 1. THE LABORATORY - NORDHAVN STATION 3 YEAR - DEP. 5

We were each given a specific building to analyze. I looked at Nordhavn st. Through thorough examinations I obtained a good understanding of the building and its context. The investigation was concluded by analytical drawings and modelling a hand- hold object that contained the characteristics and essence of the building. 1. Sketches

A CAMPINGSITE ONTHE OUTSKIRTS OFTHE CITY DYREHAVEN - COPENHAGEN, 3 YEAR - DEP. 5

The exercise was about habitation in the open space. The experience and understanding of the landscape defined the starting point for the assignment. By analysing the spacial characteristics of the forrest. I used the “portal” to develop the cottages. 1. Layered Spacial Collages, Photos, pen on tracing paper, negativ copy A3 2. THE HOUSE ONTHE “BORDER” - BRØNDBYØSTER 1 YEAR - DEP. 5

Through analysis of the site. The term “on the boarder” was put into play.To me the term became important in the sense of moving through the woods. Between the dense and the more filtrated, brightness and darkness. And the beauty of a clearing. I tried to underline and incorporate these feelings in the house . 1. Plan 1:100 Pencil Drawing 2. Sketches of the courtyard
