REDISCOVERING THE TERRITORY LAPA MASTERPLAN Sao Paulo - Brazil
Based on what has already been proposed to the area, by the public and the private sector, this masterplan aims to reconnect the urban spaces, enhance the user experience by creating livable streets for pedestrians primary, recovering potencial areas and encouraging new uses according to its applicability
LOCATION
Sited in the Sao Paulo macro metropolis, the proposal is for the northwestern part of the capital, within the Lapa and Freguesia do Ă“ district
CONTEXT
The site was a vibrant industrial zone in the XIX century, which brought a large number of workers, increasing the demand for infrastructure. The geographical aspects did help, most of the houses were developed close to some local river bank, at the back of the industrial area, although the topography was very hilly Following the transformations and the incentives to the industrial decentralization, most of the trades moved to outside of the city, leaving many underused terrains. The mobility problems also compound its development According to the historicity that leads to the actual problems, the masterplan guidelines tends to address this connectivity problems, promoting vibrant communities through a mixed use - commercial, services and housing - appropriation, creating as well recreational, cultural and economic hubs

CREATIVE JEWELRY MAKING LAYERS NECKLACE Birmingham, UK | Sao Paulo, Brazil
Conceived during the course of creative jewelry, the necklace was inspired by the overlapping of time (past, present and future), resulting in 3 layers. The first prototype was made of copper, but the result was not satisfactory since the overlap of the layers was almost imperceptible. The second prototype was made of wood, already presented a considerable difference between the layers
