Chapel Watermirror Common cemetery
Cemetery for family, consisting of a mausoleum, urn house and chapel. Keeping space for former patriarchs, founders of the family. Keeping space at the same time for subsequent generations. The privat grave yard is surrounded by reliefs that works as storage for urns. Incoming light trhough differentiating forms contribute with calm and peaceful settings for thinking and reflection.
Overall plan
Accessibility Surrounded by water that rises inside the chapel with the tide, it will cover the reliefs in the ground. The visiter therefore has to respect the water as it is and only have acces to the chapel when there is no tide. Creating a mirror between the water and the buildings it shows the symmetri and triumph. Symbolising the transiition between life and death, water has a poetic role together with the elements that humans can not controle.
