Thinking of leading your local bar association? Applications are open for 5 Director positions for the 2024 - 2026 Term. MCBA Board Directors support and forward the mission of the MCBA to involve, encourage, and support bar association members, serve as a liaison to the Marin County courts, to educate the community, and enhance access to legal services.

Responsibilities

The Marin County Bar Association Board of Directors meets monthly to discuss and resolve agenda issues relevant to the legal community. Directors also serve on select committees and ad hoc committees. They are the liaisons to practice sections. Directors are expected to attend monthly board meetings and represent the board at MCBA events. The term also includes serving as Guest Editor for a quarterly publication of the Marin Lawyer. The experience is invaluable for leadership experience and governance. This is an excellent opportunity to connect and work with colleagues in MCBA.
