Bill McGill met with other top retailers in America to help better serve the boating community.

1998

In 1973, Bill McGill started Gulfwind Marine in St. Petersburg, FL.

Before MarineMax Fun Fact: According to boatingindustry.com, in 1992, due to the surging jet boat market, there was a lot of interest in Boston Whaler’s Rage, a 13.5-foot jet boat.

MarineMax is Founded and After, Goes Public

MarineMax forms in January, and by June, the company went public, listed under NYSE: HZO.
