All moulds, male and female are constructed to the highest level to achieve the best quality finish on all parts. The hull is moulded from high quality carbon female mould. This enables the hull to be constructed in pre preg materials resulting in considerable savings in weight. 2.3

Internal bulkheads and structure are constructed from carbon fibre and lightweight structural foam core materials. 2.5

Decks are constructed from pre preg carbon with foam core. Details for flush hatches; cockpits, lockers and lazerette access hatches are moulded into the deck during construction. 3 PAINTING 3.1

Interior furniture is constructed from lightweight panelling with a mix of timber veneer and painted finishes. In keeping with the modern concept of the yacht the interior styling is modern and clean whilst still maintaining traditional excellence of fine woodwork finishes. 1.4

The vessel is to be built to comply with the Recreational Craft Directive 94/25/EC Category `A’ Ocean. 1.3

Hull Construction

The hull is constructed from pre preg carbon fibre with foam cores. The laminate has been optimised using latest engineering techniques, to achieve a light stiff structure. 2.4

Mould Construction

Specification

All exterior surfaces are painted with epoxy undercoats and Awlgrip 2000 polyurethane topcoat to a standard range of light colours. The waterline and boot top line will be painted in a single colour.

Commissioning (Sea trials)

All yachts will be completed and fully commissioned in Sydney, Australia, prior to handover and final delivery.

Underwater surfaces will be coated with epoxy undercoat and International ‘long life’ antifoul paint. All paints to be applied in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and will be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.

Compasses

Flush mounted F135 Suunto dual hemisphere compasses are mounted on the cockpit coaming at the helmsman’s station. Compasses have lowlevel red lighting. 6.7

The main switchboard will be located in the navigation area. The switchboard will have: Voltmeters, Amp meters, Selection switches, Tank gauges and alarms, Display indicating pumps, Navigational light switches and equipment in use.

Lazerette 7.1.5

The Lazerette is accessed through a hatch in the aft deck. Rudder stock, quadrant and steering sheaves are accessible in the Lazerette. A removable vertical panel is situated aft of the quadrant to keep it separate from storage space. 7 ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS 7.1

Switchboard

Inverters/Converters/Battery Chargers

The yacht is fitted with a dedicated inverter to supply 220 VAC 50 Hz at a number of dedicated outlets. A number of small 24 –12 VDC converters are fitted to supply 12 VDC from 24 VDC where required, primarily for electronic equipment.

Electrical

7.1.1

Electrical System

The yacht has two primary voltages. The yachts AC system is 220 VAC, 1 phase, 50/60 Hz. All primary equipment will be selected to operate on both 50 and 60 Hz. AC power is provided from either the generator, batteries via an inverter or a shore power connection. The generator is a 50Hz Onan 13.5MDKAD. The yachts DC system is wired as a 24-volt DC 2 wire, isolated system for the yacht general system. Power from the engine driven alternator, generator or shore power will charge the house batteries. The 12 volt main engine and generator battery is charged by the either or both of the 55 amp main engine alternator or the 35 amp generator alternator batteries. 7.1.2

Batteries

Two (2) 12v starting batteries for generator and main engine.

A Mastervolt 24/100 battery charger is fitted to charge the house batteries. In addition, the house batteries can be charged by a 175 amp, 24 VDC alternator fitted to the main engine. 7.1.6

A 220 VAC, 1 phase grounded shore power system is installed. The shore power is lead through a galvanic isolator. The shore power inlet is located in a dedicated locker aft. A 15-meter heavy-duty cable with plug is provided. 7.1.7

7.2

Electronics (not included as standard)

The yard and the owner will develop the total electronic package. It will be supplied and installed at the owners cost. Equipment could include: Entertainment Equipment

AM/FM Tuner, CD player, Flat Screen Television, DVD. 7.2.2

Lighting & Outlets

Lights and outlets are 24v recessed where available. Lighting is a mixture of halogen and LED.

Air intake and outlet is protected against seawater ingress and has acoustic panels to reduce airborne sound.

Engine Room

Access to the engine room is through the engine room access doors located in the Guest cabin 2 and by the companionway stairs. 8.1.1

Fan control will be automatic / manual. Starting will be automatic with either the main engine or generator. There will be a manual override.

Main Engine

The main engine is a Yanmar 4LHA-HTP with a rating of 150 hp at 3300-rpm. The engine is mounted on Isomount M2400-55 Type 1 mounts.

Engine Room Ventilation fan is 24 VDC Steering system. 8.2

Steering Wheels

The engine is water cooled. The engine is fitted with a 24v 175-amp alternator for charging the house batteries and a 12v 55-amp alternator for the engine start batteries.

Plumbing Systems

8.3.1

Fuel System

Two diesel tanks with a combined capacity of approximately 800 litres. Tanks have baffles and inspection / clean out plates to permit thorough cleaning and inspection. Deck filler caps are located in side deck recesses with overflow protection. A day tank of approx 60 litres is located near the main engine and generator. The day tank will be fitted with an alarm to the steering position for low fuel level. A 24 VDC pump will transfer fuel automatically from either tank to the day tank via a tanks. The system operates off the ships AC system. All domestic water is filtered with charcoal filters. Tanks are fitted with an electronic tank gauge with read out in the navigation area. The hot water system utilizes one 40 litre insulated stainless steel tank with a heat exchanger from the main engine and a 2 kW electric element. Water maker: Spectra Newport 8.3.2

There is a hi/lo sensor and alarm with an auto/ manual switch located at the navigation station. fuel transfer filter. Selection of the tanks is manual. Tanks are fitted with an electronic tank gauge with readout at the navigation station. Fuel lines from tanks incorporate a check valve and a shutoff valve. Fuel lines; valves and fittings are stainless steel. Engine and generator each have a Racor or similar fuel filter with water sensing probes. The probes will indicate an alarm at the navigation area. 8.3.4

Black Water System

There is one black tank of approximate 100ltr. All black tank intake lines are fitted with check valves. Pipes to the tanks are ABS to prevent odour. The black water tank is discharged via a “Y� valve to either a shore pump out or overboard. Discharge pump is a Sealand T Series, 24 VDC or similar. There is a hi/lo sensor and alarm with an auto/ manual switch located in the navigation area. 8.3.5

Toilet System

Tecmar electric toilet or equivalent white flush toilet.

Fresh Water System 8.3.6

There are two fresh water tanks with 700 litres total capacity. They have suitable baffles and inspection / clean out plates to permit thorough cleaning and inspection. Fillers and breathers in deck hatch in side decks.

Sea Water System

Water chest, Deck wash down, anchor wash, fire hose.

A valve system enables water to be drawn from either tank. Vent / overflows and fresh water fills is ABS pipe. Hot and cold water is Unipipe composite tubing. Hot water tubing is insulated

LPG Gas System

LPG gas system supplies gas for cooking. A 10 kg bottle is stored in a vented locker (space for two bottles) and is connected to the galley via regulator with alarmed gas solenoid and remote gas shutoff. 8.4

Hydraulic System

Directional valve manifolds are located near the functions and linked with Stainless Steel tube. Flexible hoses connect the functions to the valve manifolds. 8.4.1

DC Power Pack & Reservoir

The 24VDC power pack will consist of 3 x 3.5kw electric motors. Each motor is fitted with a soft starter to limit the starting and running current. Oil reservoir (approx 55 liters) fitted with a dual level switch, temperature alarm, pressure and return filter, filler and shut-off valves. 8.4.2

PLC Controller

The hydraulic system is controlled by a PLC. The system includes alarms and system shut downs, both visual and acoustic for Low oil and High oil temp. The alarm panel is located at the Navigation Station instrument panel. The following control panels are located at the helm station area: The Hydraulic system and bow thruster control panel. Keel control buttons. Individual winches are controlled by deck switches. 8.4.4

Piping

The hydraulic system is piped in a combination of stainless steel pipe and flexible hoses.

Heaters

Refrigerator and Freezer Cabinet

The galley is fitted with a separate refrigerator and freezer. Each unit has a volume of 150 litres. Cabinets: The cabinets are stainless steel lined, with stainless steel baskets and adjustable shelves. Doors are stainless steel lined on the inside. The fridge door is fitted with a stainless steel basket for drink / wine bottles. Anchor System

8.6.1

sensors set approx. 50 mm above the level switches. These alarm at the navigation station.

Anchor Windlass 8.7.1

The anchor windlass is Lewmar or similar (Chain/ warp). The windlass is controlled by a wander lead with the built-in display indicating chain lowered. 8.6.2

Folding Anchor Arm

The main anchor is located on an arm that rotates back into a flush deck locker that stores the anchor out of view.

Two (2) hand pumps will be installed. One is located in the cockpit and the other in the bilge (fitted with wandering lead). Manual bilge pumps are Whale Gusher 30 or similar. 8.8

Fire & Safety

8.8.1 The anchor arm is constructed from carbon fibre and is launched manually. 8.6.3

Engine Space

The engine space has a fire extinguisher with discharge cable and angle adapter.

The main anchor is a Delta 40 (40kg) anchor. 8.6.4

Anchor Chain

There are Dry powder extinguishers (2 kg each) in built in cabinets, in each cabin, main saloon, and nav station. The galley and nav station also have CO2 units.

The main anchor rode has 30 metres of 10mm hi-tensile galvanised steel chain to DIN766/A and 70 metres of 19mm 3-braid nylon warp.

Locker

A separate locker for the chain with easy access and self-draining, is located at the aft end of the forepeak. 8.6.6

Keel

9.1.1

The keel fin is cast from high tensile steel and computer machined to the correct final shape.

Anchor Wash 9.1.2

A single SW pump with an outlet in the anchor locker. A quick connect hose can be used to wash the aft decks 8.7

Keel Construction

Bilge Systems

The bilge of the yacht is divided into four separate areas. The forepeak, engine room and Lazerette bulkheads are watertight electric bilge pumps. Each of the 4 zones is fitted with a 24 VDC selfpriming centrifugal bilge pump that will pump directly overboard. A level sensor controls each pump. Core is removed from the laminate at the lowest points to create a sump for the sensor and pump. A secondary Rule 26D, 500 gph pump or similar is installed in the mast base area. Each bilge space is also fitted with bilge alarms

Keel Hydraulic Lifting

The keel is raised and lowered with hydraulic rams that are integral in the keel fin. The system has inbuilt safety systems to prevent the keel from lowering unintentionally. The keel slides in a specially constructed carbon centre case. The keel is operated from the Starboard helm station. 9.1.3

Lead Bulb

The ballast bulb is cast from 3% antimony lead and is bolted to the base of the keel fin. 9.2

Rudder Stock and Blade Laminate

The rudderstock is laminated from carbon fibre. The rudderstock and blade are laminated in female moulds using carbon fibre. 9.3

Spars

9.3.1

Mast

The mast is a Carbon four spreader fractional rig constructed from carbon fibre. With discontinuous rod rigging, spreaders swept back 21 deg. There is a permanent backstay off the masthead. The forestay is fitted with a Harken hydraulic furler. Removable inner forestay and check stays. Halyard exits for main halyard, topping lift/spare main halyard, masthead spinnaker halyards (2), fractional spinnaker halyards (2), headsail halyard (1) and a storm jib/staysail halyard. All halyards are lead aft to the cockpit. There are 2 Spreader lights for the foredeck. At the masthead there are provisions for the masthead wand, aerials and antennae.

Standing Rigging

Standing rigging. The standing rod rigging includes: V1 V2 V3 D1 D2 D3 D4 Forestay Inner Forestay Backstay Check stays are provided. The inner forestay can be tensioned. 9.6

Halyards

The halyards are Vectran/Spectra sized to match the loads.

The carbon boom is a carbon fibre “V” style boom. Reefing system for three reefs.

10 WARRANTY The yacht is warranted for any fault in manufacture or workmanship for a period of twelve months following the date of handover.
